Air Wick Freshmatic Compact Unit - Stone, if it is still available in your M (and I've been through 10 Ms this week with no trace at all; in fact a further 7 different Ms the previous week also did not have it although I suppose it could appear back in any of them at any time) will hopefully be 75p, which is quite a saving on the normal price of £6! In fact, it used to go quite often to £3 offer prices, so it's only a saving off that price as no-one would ever buy it at £6!:rotfl:

It will be 75p if I am hoping that the price I saw was not a store-specific price - although it did not look like it was store-specific to me. In both of the stores in which I've got the product, it's on the RTC shelving rather than the air fresheners aisle, though I (famous words) "don't rule out" (it's a variant now - slightly different words to "rule out the possibility";)) that it could be available with the normal air freshener products stock in the usual aisle in some M or another, possibly with incorrect full price SEL:rotfl:, or that it might, indeed, be found in any location in a store. In the two I've got it though, it's been on RTC shelf - in one of them with what now seems to be incorrect old £3 RTC price not yet changed to 75p. That would not be a surprise - though I must admit I did not check at the till. The same store previously (months ago) had some Princes Tuna 3x80g on RTC £1.50 it said, when they scanned at 50p. So, they don't update their RTC shelf pricing - or they didn't then, and it seems quite likely haven't now. The other store told me it was 75p RTC on their SEL.

I didn't check the Air Wick product in the "RTC £3" SEL store really was the 75p I now expect whenever I see £3 on it:rotfl:. Instead I took the Hellmann's Mayonnaise, also on the shelf, at £1 RTC price, hoping to see if that really was unchanged and had not gone down further. I was told it was £1.40:rotfl:. Clearly I think incorrect as that's the full price - it will be £1, the staff don't know to press the right button on their till machine and it returns showing the full price for the product when, on these RTC products, which come with a "discount" showing on the SS screen when scanned there (I can't do that every time, sorry), it doesn't show that if they just check the price in the wrong way. But - short of queuing up at a till again (and then adding five and ten more minutes per item to my time at the store), what can I do?!? (sigh.) When it's rush hour approaching, those ten minutes can be the difference between a 10 minute journey home and, then, a three-quarters of an hour stuck-in-traffic one!

As for your chances of finding the Air Wick Compact Stone Unit, I don't know. I have 2 out of 17 (different) stores in the last two weeks* (so just under 12% chance), though it could be much less of a chance than that as I suspect further stores I could go to also won't have it as well.

*I'm not counting again stores I have visited more than once (each different store is just being counted once).

Phew, I had got 10 of the atkins bars on special offer in T... 2 for £2..but they only showed 50p. I have raised this with them.

DS1 eats them as they are high in something!! I don't mind getting them for 50p, but I am not paying £1... for a little manky chocolate bar!

    :D:D:D:D:D

Cos have 50p back up to 10 claims :)

    Plus a 50p MOC on Mymail :)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

mhoc I don't catch up properly these days. I just skip through but I caught your post about what I'm going to do when I'm in isolation.

I'm allowed some gadgets so I'll be able to keep in touch with the outside world. I have to say I've very much avoided the Internet during the day for a long time now. it's very easy to get 'stuck' online in absence of being able to go about your usual business. I don't really want to do that. It very much feels like wasted time to me at the moment. I do what I'm doing now and have a cheeky look in once everyone is settled for the night and I'm in that place that feels a bit lonely where I face my thoughts for the day.

I've no doubt I will be bored, frustrated and prone to a tantrum or 2. I can live without my OH for months and have done often. Not sure how I'll do with such a long stint without my kids :o it's for their benefit in the long run and that will hopefully be at the forefront of my mind.

Things ill do......I have a 'wedding' to plan. I will say this is very much OH idea and not something I feel a need for but I get it so it's fair enough. I've already made a start on it. I have also joined another forum recently that has nothing to do with shopping or money saving that I enjoy. It's a bit special interest but suits me fine because there are also like minded people there albeit on a different subject.

I'm still writing too. I've had an article (my 3rd :D) published in a magazine that goes to parents of autistic children. I have also had an article published in an ex-service charities publication that I'm rather proud of.

I won't be taking up knitting or crocheting :p

my nails are already fine but could be better and I'm determined not to spend the time reading books....I can do that any time.

I'm soooooo looking forward to meeting you. I have a proper mental pic in my head of what you look like! I bet you will be nothing like it :D

    Sorry for yakking on :o

And whilst I'm on a catch up.....

Someone reported LEJC for having an opinion?? Really? She is probably the most diplomatic person on this thread and tells it like it is. I think people should be reminded the report button is for widely offensive posts and not for posts you personally don't like :( I've never seen LEJC being offensive or personal at all. Opinionated? Yes.....my kind of woman :T but people here seriously need to differentiate between personal annoyance and what is offensive to a wider audience

    Just saying.....

Okay, I'm starting to amend the list and changing a few things as I'm indicating now by posting.

[Strike]John Smith's Golden Ale (500ml)Ł1.00:( Ł1.00 This is a bottle, but John Smith's Golden Ale (500ml) can may be available in M at 39p/49p/69p.[/Strike] Having trouble finding indication of this again - if it is in a collection store - and most Ms for me seem not even to have any trace - probably OOS for too long.

    :rotfl: Indeed.
This will come straight back to life, as mentioned on Wednesday - no problem at all in one of my Ms on that day despite being completely absent from there for over three weeks:huh::rotfl:! I suppose it might stand less chance of being found by the APG if this is my situation - nonetheless they have found things before that I've found only after using 22 stores (the Chicago Pepperoni Melt months ago) and, even, have things that I've still not found anywhere (the Laila Broken Rice that I only know about from online)! I suppose that, if it returns N/A it's a potential loss of "only" 10p - and you can tell them from me that M without any doubt at all had it in stock, available for purchase, with £1 SEL on Wednesday.

I might just remove my note about me having trouble, given that it was so blatant and obvious and immediate to see in my store on Wednesday! Significant stock too. Nonetheless, I haven't seen it in any other store this week, although I've been looking in those aisles for new things rather than this now that I've already got it. But this means nowt as quite a few items are only in one or two stores out of six at any one time (and all therefore picked up from one or another), some of them in three, many, to be fair, are more widespread.

I'm now seeing even more variant prices on those single cans/"manager's specials" that are available in several Ms but not all of them at any one time. I've seen prices of 35p and 75p now. They just have a small price ticket stuck onto the can - and, judging by the lack of any BC on some cans I saw on Wednesday, it looks like they are sometimes individual cans that have been taken out of, and separated from, a multipack (perhaps some of the cans in the multipack got damaged) and they are selling the individual can, by itself, for (most of the time) cheaper. I assume, obviously, you can't scan the BC on a can where there isn't one - but would need SA if at SS to look at the price ticket (various prices, different stores vary at different times) and enter in whatever price it says. The staff at the tills would enter it manually I'm sure. So, I'll be changing 39p/49p/69p to various prices approx. 35p-75p and probably conflate some of the numerous entries on the list. It could, indeed, potentially be that any alcohol can that M stocks in any multipack at all could appear as a single can on a manager's special in any store. So, potentially, all brands (and own label) of alcoholic drink in cans and bottles that are stocked by M in any version should be on the list, besides the actual specific ones that I have come across, from various stores at various times (and never removed any of them off as they will all, potentially be 'still available') and I've diligently taken the details of each one.
