    I think I'm allowed back:rotfl:.

I think that Wyke Mature Cheddar was available in some Ms at £5/Kg at the end of last week. On Monday this week I was finding only stock at £9.18/Kg:( in the Ms which I checked. However, I don't "rule out the possibility" (haha) that some older stock at £5/Kg would still have been available in other Ms.

You might have thought that the stock at £5/Kg would now have gone and that just the £9.18/Kg price would now be available in M. Well...

They (technically there are different versions, one at £9.18/Kg and one at £5/Kg and they move from each other and back again as the stock of one of them gets sold out) are now in the process of moving more towards the version at £5/Kg once again.

I was originally going to visit one M today. I needed to visit Aldi and the M was close by. No Cat Milk again:(. (I thought I may as well check as I was going to be nearby anyway.) Yes, I managed to pick another M that had no Cat Milk:(. The store did give me some items I'd not already got though - including the 75p RTC item that I'll mention soon, as well as a few other RTCs that, yesterday, I knew nothing about:o:rotfl: . Partly due to the lack of own label Cat Milk, I changed my plans and instead of visiting that Aldi I went onto another M (surprisingly it didn't take very long at all to reach the next M - I mustn't have been on that route before:rotfl:). I was going to buy some frozen food from the Aldi and obviously I was not now going to go straight back home. I found the Cat Milk in the next M and no mbuy showing in the store. I think I trust this store about this item more than I do the other four stores although I don't trust it on the biscuits at all as it had two clear incorrect SELs in that aisle, obviously some unchanged prices and I thought another price might be wrong too:rotfl:. So, I'm going to think the Cat Milk is now straight 52p. Nonetheless, no Savers Tomato tins mbuy in this store:rotfl:.

Which leads me, naturally of course:D:rotfl:, onto the cheese (like you do!...).

I found Wyke Mature Cheddar in this store at £5/Kg - and it's got a quite a long date on it! Which made me think that it is going back to £5/Kg once again, having gone up to £9.18/Kg in effect, at slightly different times in different Ms in the half a week, depending on what stock was still left available in each store.

But... now that the Wyke Mature is found at £5/Kg, does this mean that the Lockerbie Coloured Cheddar that I have on my list is still £5/Kg or is that going up in price? Of course this was the natural question that I thought. Well, as that's a "buy in M" and that was found at £5/Kg yesterday, but could possibly have gone up today - or be "in the process of doing so", I had to check of course:rotfl:. No Lockerbie Cheddar in this store:(:rotfl::rotfl:.

So instead of going back home via an Aldi on the route, I went back to the M where I had the Lockerbie Cheddar yesterday (hopefully it'll still be there:rotfl::rotfl:) as that store is both near an Aldi;) and also on a route back to home.

And, indeed the Lockerbie Cheddar is still £5/Kg:) (phew!:D). But maybe some could be in, or could come into, some other M at a higher price either now or soon. I think it's generally £5/Kg though - I had at least two stores with it (didn't need to look in all;)) on Monday at £5/Kg and found it again at that price yesterday (and today).

But... in the "Lockerbie Cheddar" store today, I had Wyke Mature Cheddar next to it... and only stock at £9.18/Kg there:(. Same position as yesterday. So, it's £5/Kg in some Ms and £9.18/Kg in others, as of today, and doubtless in some there is stock at both prices (make sure you check that the one you're buying is £5/Kg;)).

I took the dates on the stock. A-ha:D;). The £9.18/Kg Wyke Cheddar in one store is 23 June and the £5/Kg in the previous one is 29 June. So, it's going to go down in price - if you've currently just got £9.18/Kg in your store - and let the £9.18/Kg stay on the shelves (in fact if everybody in the entire store ever did that, then it would be much cheaper on the expiry date as they'd have to get rid of it as whoopsie;):money::rotfl:) - in fact NO ONE should buy £9.18/Kg version at all and I hope soon the newer stock comes in at £5/Kg. (Though whoopsie on the right date - maybe 23 June evening-time?;) - may be much cheaper than £5/Kg, if stock of the £9.18/Kg version is not already gone in your store.) The £5/Kg version meanwhile is already in some Ms - and some Ms (like the earlier one I visited today) now currently have only £5/Kg stock (although I'm sure higher priced stock will come back again later:().

If you have just the £9.18:eek:/Kg stock in your M, I would wait on them as I think some new stock at £5/Kg will come into your M, probably in the next few days.

Of course no-one normally checks the price per kg. of cheese they find in the chilled foods areas (although it may be, or may also be, at the counter in your store!) - people generally I think just pick it up and pay whatever price it is. However, that's certainly not the money-saving approach and it does make quite a difference between £9.18/Kg and £5/Kg as to what amount of cheese you are getting for your money! The difference can certainly add up if you pick up blocks of roughly the same size and happen to buy a £9.18/Kg instead of £5/Kg - it is going to cost you quite a lot more!

Of course, there is much cheaper cheese before but I always ensure it gets to £5/Kg (or below) before it gets to my 'guide price' list! So, anything more than that is normally ruled out.

Trying to catch up already but not quite there

Been back to doc today, she says it'll take between another 4 to 6 weeks for pleurisy to clear  it seems at its worst today but I think that because I've had 2 appointments, had to for eye test :j :j will get new lens in my glasses that I bought in October, still cost me £215  I wish I'd stayed home :rotfl:

Lovely seeing the pictures, Scamps , your two are beauties and sound a bit like the two I look after for ds3 and his gf. They bark at the birds, leaves, paper, other dogs and to dh dismay the horses at Royal Ascot

Time I wasn't here, meds to sort out, and thought to myself, I must get this bra off as its tight and cutting in, then i remembered, I haven't got one on  it's the nature of what I've got :rotfl:

Frequent, I hope you're feeling a bit better today X

    See you all tomorrow xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
