GRRRRRR!
Really annoyed I have just travelled home from my babysitting duties in London and stopped off at an A fairly near London on the way home. I bought the quorn and 7 fillers ....I know you should always have an extra 1 or 2 but today I didn't, I wanted to get home and still had a 2 hour journey ahead of me and a pounding headache!
Just put receipt through and it says I need 8 items...(which I had)...GRRR, and to top it all no wombles
Sorry to hear that.
You've not got 8 items - that are on a.com. Did you buy loose broccoli?
I also can't now find Maoam Giant Sour Stripes on a.com so, if it really isn't there, and if anyone still has that in their A, it won't count either. I think single Tangfastics also don't count now (but most stores don't have them anymore)? Seems to be not as many 10p sweets on a.com as there used to be:(.0 -
Yes got home late Monday night, busy day yesterday unpacking and doing all the jobs that no one else had bothered to while I was away.
But had a fantastic time with DD2 thanks, we ate far too much until we nearly popped and I may have got a little bit drunk on a couple of occasions, I'm not good with too many free wine refills with dinner and the cocktails were certainly not small measures.I can't fault the hotel the service was amazing. :T
I would certainly go back.
We also went out on a couple of trips, one was a Landrover Safari and DD2 did the mud bath and river tubing, I stayed with my feet firmly on solid ground. But it was good to see her making the most of it. And we also got a boat from the hotel over to Fethiye and had a wander round the town. Holiday was over far too quick.
Is it this week you do your muddy thing, I must go and do my bit by donating.
Glad you had a good time TS. I couldn't deal with that heat though, phew!0 -
Anyway here is my big news. I can't give you any details because I know less than nothing so don't even ask
But our prayers have been answered even if its just fleetingly, when situations have no other solution, the old fashioned methods sometimes get results
Errant son (formally known as youngest son) flew back into Heathrow this afternoon, made his way across to Paddington where he was rounded up by his big sister (he has aggravated both of his siblings with middle of the night messages, I can't believe either of them are still speaking to him) She is escorting him to Euston and dumping him there - he got as far as Heathrow so getting himself onto the right train at Euston should be feasible.
OH said have you seen this picture and showed me the one eldest child put on her FB page - selfie of them both at Paddington- I've held it together now for months but all of a sudden my face sprung a leak and the flood waters broke
Errant child went out to work in the Far East nearly a year ago, came home for a few days at Christmas and then went back, we thought for a 2 year stint or longer but plans changed, chaos has reigned for the last couple of months but finally some common sense prevailed and flights were booked on Monday.
How long he is back for we have no idea apart from job applications
So he is getting a train north shortly and in a couple of hours we will see him for the first time since January“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

It was nearly that hot when we went last year. Good job I do like a bit of heat.We made a good choice and went on the Landrover trip last Wednesday when it was still low 30s as the other day for that trip would have been a Saturday and don't think we would have coped with the 43 degrees being out in it for the day with no shade.
