    GRRRRRR!

Really annoyed I have just travelled home from my babysitting duties in London and stopped off at an A fairly near London on the way home. I bought the quorn and 7 fillers ....I know you should always have an extra 1 or 2 but today I didn't, I wanted to get home and still had a 2 hour journey ahead of me and a pounding headache!
Just put receipt through and it says I need 8 items...(which I had)...GRRR, and to top it all no wombles :(

    1x ASDA Mango Chutney (70G) £0.34 N/A
    SnS

    :rotfl:

No use on the Chilli Dip 70g or Mango Chutney 70g - they fail to pick up Mango Chutney - M definitely has an equivalent for those - the price collectors really want telling as this is not ensuring A is 10% cheaper guaranteed at all (if people target M and buy 3) - although maybe not:rotfl: as the shopper missed M's 3 for £1 mbuy.

M also, as expected, do have loose Braeburn Apples, and they are available individually and not in packs of 2 - no evidence in my Ms that they are "hand selected" at all - they are £2/Kg so, yet again, if the rest of your shop was best overall vs M and gave a voucher - or was just short of doing so - A will not be 10% cheaper as they are £1.90/Kg A price. At this stage, with so many items missed over the months and years, it is IMO starting to call into question the claim to guarantee to be 10% cheaper on a more general basis. The advertising watchdog has rejected complaints before - usually from competitors - on the basis that, generally, the guarantee did compare - however, at this point - Yorkshire Puddings, Carrots, Braeburn Apples, Iceberg Lettuce, now SP Fish Fingers... the list goes on... I think it's starting to show the scheme generally does not give 10% cheaper as, on a normal shop, it's now starting to become likely to miss at least one item on which A is - usually - same price as M (or else not 10% cheaper) and therefore not give the refund. However, it works both ways and they miss items on which A are well more 10% cheaper as well as items they are not, and these vary over time such as the Carrots.

In M itself, it seems to me it's not a changeover week this week - those are next week and the week after - so the list as it stands (in so far as they pick anything up:rotfl:) is largely useful, with caution:D. Of course there are some changes here and there - tbh I can't think what they are at the moment although (some of) the information is with me - although I may be adding the 500g Trimmed Leeks to the list - they are a particularly dodgy one from my POV however! I had an M on Saturday showing me 57p and, today, I have two Ms with 57p but both of them OOS. I've been unable to find stock in my stores (although surely they will be some somewhere?). So, if you think that 57p on Saturday and 57p today means that they were 57p on Monday and that today's SELs are not unchanged SELs with them being OOS (they might have gone up in price but the stores still showing 57p because they are OOS and therefore haven't changed their SELs!), this may be a comp. on the APG. Msm throughout - and as far as I know m.com - has been saying £1. Msm was showing that on Saturday, even though I saw 57p, and it still has £1 now.

Does anyone have the A Trimmed Leeks (500g) on a current womble, or even another kind of shop? In my view, I think there's a two-thirds chance that they are 57p. Sometimes the SELs are changed to the right prices even though the store is temporarily OOS - although I have had the situation before, from a different store, where the price OOS turned out not to have been changed, probably for that reason. I have 57p - it's the only price I've got - and I'll be putting them onto the list at that M price:wall::eek: - though if they are OOS for too long they could risk dropping off the system for M - depends what they have in the APG stores; however SP Fish Fingers had a recent stockout and it seems that that was more widespread - my experience seems to have matched the APG's has they have now dropped off the APG as of last weekend - maybe I even check the same stores as them:rotfl:.

If indeed the Leeks were 57p in M on Monday - I did not check so I do not know! - then, just from my stores though, it would seem better now than waiting for an update to happen and possibly go no trace.

I do not know why m.com is saying £1. I do not have that price at all instore. Fwiw, the price on M's loose leeks - of £2/Kg - is the same price per Kg as the price for the 500g that is showing on m.com. Are Trimmed Leeks (500g) comparing against 57p for M on wombles?

The SP Bran Flakes (that have been comparable only against M) are, IMO, starting to become dodgy now - there are still some Ms showing 88p for 750g packs (M is changing pack size to a non-comparable one it seems) but maybe they are becoming fewer now so this is starting to risk going N/A. Which, indeed, sadly, it should do if M changes entirely to 500g packs. There are 750g packs still around no doubt however - but it may now be that fewer stores are contributing 88p to the APG now, if indeed they are doing that at all, and it will become rarer I reckon and, in time, be complete no trace in the collection stores and then N/A.

I think probably realistically the WW tins with Spaghetti (400g) are going to be dropping off, if they haven't already done so after weekend shoppers in M last weekend - as usual, maybe still in stores that didn't put the SEL down further to the further reduced price - but any that said 20p on them, I think the stock will now have gone and SELs taken away. I have no trace today - but I've only been able to look at 4 stores and most of those had already lost the product last mid-week.

As for the list, it will get eventually updated from today's information at some point - I already have Saturday's info. on there now.

    Good evening Elite :hello:

Sarahdol, good luck for your muddy run tomorrow, hope you have appropriate weather :D

I don't know where the last couple of days have gone  time has just flown. I had a friend come to see me and she ended up staying over. Chatted well into the early hours about old times  :rotfl:

The thread is moving slowly but then I've just remembered that bubbs is on holiday and no deals coming in from HUKD. :rotfl: :rotfl: so I haven't got many pages to catch up on :D

Hope everyone enjoying warmer weather, I think we are due rain tomorrow but I'm intending on getting out early to vote. I'm planning on sitting watching the results come out ;) must wait for dh to get to sleep by 11pm and he won't know I'm still up out of bed :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hugs to those in need X

See you after my catchup :D
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
