Thanks trulymadly for continuing to post your whoopsie photos. I keep thinking about going to Asda to see what is on offer there but by the time I factor in the petrol unless I get a very good haul it would not be worth it. Any way went to tesco tonight and it was very quiet as it has been since the new manager has decreased the percentage on rtc. Always worth looking first at the made up farm names fruit and veg as these are still bargains. Managed to get 4 peppers 20p, cherry toms 17p best buys.

Thanks to op about the weetabix at wrose (was it izzy)? Managed to get 2 boxes of 48 for £4.32 with my waitrose offers and also paid with tsb contactless for another 5pc off. So weetabix work out less than 4.5 per biscuit cheaper than farmfoods and iceland.

Now I have my nutri bullet :) I thought I'd try to emulate the milky bar crushems I buy now and again for £2 each in KFC . I must say its not a bad comparison. Theirs is colder and a bit tastier but mine is acceptable :).

I ve been watching what they do as much as I can. I used semi skimmed milk some condensed milk in a tube some white chocolate drops and a bit of ice cream and whizz it all together :D

Maybe if you freeze the chocolate drops, it will make it cooler :)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

Situation changed a little with my dispute. Decking man came round this evening. Basically whole thing is appalling and needs doing again from scratch. Everything from incorrect distance between joists (they are a metre apart so no wonder planks are bending, should be 600mm max) to wrong screws used (wood screws which will rust in the rain, should have used decking screws). Nothing really salvagable, looking at about £1600 to put it right.

Grass companies not coming til Monday, but obviously I only held back £700. Looks as if this is going to be heading to small claims court. :(

Just because you have retained £700, doesn't mean they have only to spend £700 in correcting it. They need to put it right before you pay them the rest of the money, it doesn't matter that the outstanding work is more than you have retained. It is like most work, you do the work before payment, but in this case they have more of the money than they should have for work done to date.

They may be able to salvage some material to use on other jobs.

I've read your PM. And no, I don't think you've been unreasonable at all.

If you want to go down the small claims route, I think you have a good case. And I've told you of my recent experience regarding a transaction that took place on FB.

Things to bear in mind before you do.

It will cost you money. There is a sliding scale depending on how much you are claiming. I think you are looking at £105 to lodge a claim online (recommended) or £115 on paper. If you win, you will be awarded this money back. As with anything, there are no guarantees.

It might not be quick. it takes weeks/months for things to work their way through the system. And longer if the person you claim from makes a counter claim which they are entitled to do.

You have to be prepared to see it through to the end. That means removing any personal feelings about personal matters going on and dealing with the business matter that's causing you the problem...as discussed earlier.

The paperwork/online forms look daunting but they aren't. I will help if you need.

You need to sleep on it and make a decision with a clear head. It's been quite a few days for you. All of that ^^^ needs a clear head and as little emotion as possible :p :rotfl::rotfl:

If £1600 to do again plus turf cost then it sounds like they were making very good money out of you at £3500. Please show no companion again a fellow officer who was happy to seriously rip you off. Their subcontractors most likely were getting 50% of total cost and supplying materials.
I know FC will give you excellent advice.
