HELP
returned from holiday 7 june no internet, tel bt 4 times and they said they would try and sort - nothing, called again weds thurs and finally after being cut off twice in tears spoke to a lady on Friday who I thought was helpful - NO. Engineer called Monday with update to say my line needed to be deactivated before placing internet order. said who tel Thursday 16th june with update as would my case person, This was made into a complaint and supposedly put on fast track. NO CALL BACKS on Thursday. I called again to say that I believed that BT openreach had an incorrect address fro my phone line and BT stated they could not contact them. Spoke to Sky who are presently trying to take over my line. they said it was Silver and to tel bt stating this, which I did. BT don't want to know so sky is trying very hard to resolve my problem. he will try to raise a ticket to openreach to correct te address. Since the beginning of the year I have had every 2 weeks someone trying to take over my phone line.
I AM NOW DESPERATE FOR SOME HELP - CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ANYTHING PLEEEEESE

Why are Sky trying to takeover your line .
  • they have a new customer who wants sky talk and as my phone no is SILVER it means that my no is inactive even though is is mine and I use it and pay for it. It is a fault with bt openreach who have the incorrect address for me.

Not sure you are blaming the correct company, presumably your address is 'non standard' , like 'upper flat' , anyways, the person who tried to get service probably didn't give Sky the 'correct' address, Sky probably didn't check that the address they were given was correct, and started (incorrectly) taking over your line, instead of the line at the address where Sky's customer was really moving into, and unfortunately you were on holiday when Openrech sent out the 'someone is trying to takeover your line, is this correct ?' letter, and of course if the address is confusing, then perhaps the postman didn't even deliver the Openreach letter , even if you were not on holiday
