P.S. Does anyone know of any good tricks for cleaning granite? Keeps drying streaky no matter how many times I buff it up.Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Woo-hoo, am going to Grayshott Hall Spa from Monday-Thursday next week (they were doing a 3rd night free so I couldn't refuse could I?!). I cannot wait to be completely pampered & cooked for... Maybe I won't come home... My mum is going to stay here & nag DD's, lol - maybe they will miss me!
Done loads in the way of phone calls/sorting paperwork. Have a huge pile of stuff to be burned. Just realised time & my tummy is rumbling loudly...Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

I assume you mean granite worktops - I've made dafter mistakes!
I use a microfibre cloth for glass, I got it in a mixed microfibre cloth 4 pack in poundstretchers a while back.
I wipe over with a damp "normal" microfibre cloth and then wipe over with the dry glass one (doesn't matter is it gets damp still works) comes up lovely and streak free
I also occasionally use lakelands granite cleaner to give it a polish up.

I have a window squeejee thing.. wipe worksurface over and swish with the window thing and voila one shining worksurface..
Hubby says.. don't use bleach on it as it it takes off the shiny surface and you won't get it back without having it repolished. You are allowed to use stardrops on it.. or vinegar or just plain water.. and if you use anything else including the 'special cleaning stuff' you are damaging it.. so there you go! Tracy, I use Lakeland worktop wonder, its fantastic but rather expensive, it cost I think £7.29 for a spray tin, although it last for approx 1 year, it leaves a lovely shine to any worktop. I've copied the text from lakeland Website for you.
Worktop Wonder
Rejoice! The hunt is over for a hard surface cleaner that really does the trick. When the Worktop Wonder sample arrived, we tried it on a range of worktops, including previously impossible to keep clean, matt black granite.
Not only did it bring them all up gleaming, but it also leaves behind an invisible film that repels fingerprints, ring-marks, and makes water splashes bead not puddle. A quick spray and polish; you'll immediately see the difference. Also suitable for use on marble, stone, stainless steel, PVC doors and window frames, and other solid surfaces.hazard extremely flammable

Anyway, I'm shattered, done everything on the list for today with the exception of the ironing, (I was up at 5.00am, the birds woke me this morning) but boy I can't do this everyday I'm not getting time to watch meaningless cr*p on the tv:rotfl:
Next have just phoned me, I complained about some curtains and cushions I bought at New Year, the beads keep dropping off the cushions, so Next have said they will take the whole lot back and issue me a credit on my account in order for me to purchase new curtains and cushions, I hope I can get some to co-ordinate otherwise OH will be rather busy re-painting the lounge!
Off to look at my tidy lounge and kitchen, i will post a picture when my new curtains arrive as I have taken down the others to return to Next tomorrow and it looks rather bare.
Now where did I put that iron - I may leave that until tomorrow, I HATE Ironing, will someone do me a swop, I'll clean your bathroom if you do my ironing. I rather clean numerous toilets than iron.

Squiggly sounds fab, wish I could join you, could just do with something like that right now.
Well we've been and filled in some enquiries and had a look round the one I liked, problem is now I love itdownside is I need to borrow £1000, I have some of the initial money needed in Xmas savings (will just mean big cuts backs at Xmas this year) the total needed to move in is £1700! Then we need to hire a van etc on top. DPs Dad said he'd help with the bond but I think it may be too much for him to lend us even with direct payment via bank each month to him, have to wait until Saturday until he gets back from holiday to find out, just hope it doesn't go before then because if it does and he's said ok I'll be gutted! Arranged to see the inside on Thursday. Looks big enough from outside but will need to see size of bedrooms and kitchen etc.
One day I might be more organised...........
