Oh i'm in, going to do it by the letter this week. Need a good kick up the a**.
Went shopping today and got DS1 new clothes, so should sort through old clothes for ebay.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Many thanks for the welcome on last weeks thread. I will post pics tomorrow of the downstairs, I need to re-charge the batteries for the camera, and I thought I was organised:mad: My OH and I sat up until 5.30 this morning drinking wine, listening to Ella Fitzgerald and admiring the lovely clean clutterfree downstairs - but thats thank to you lot for the motivation over the past few weeks.
Looking at the list tomorrow, gosh that's alot for one day, ironing and cleaning the oven in one day - I would rather go back to work than be a SAHM:D I will see what I can do, but I'm not promising anything, if the weathers nice the lawn will need flattening by me lying on it, it saves me mowing it.
Just re-read the list - I don't have a microwave, so that's one less job, but I do have an iron unfortunately.
I managed to do 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms today and I'm jiggered - whats the thing I read somewhere about a shiny sink
Anyway I will post some pics tomorrow, I might need some tech advice on that one.
Have a great evening.

Thanks Pigpen, I am in, especially with the ironing, doing the school uniforms in a minute and I am going to try to keep the 30 minute ironing rule every day this week.
Kitchen is already clean, floor could do with another mop after the sleep over
DD1 asked for me to dry and straighten her hair, and believe me, with the amount of thick hair she has, it is hard work.
Working Tuesday and Wednesday (its nice to be wanted) so have to be organised with the flying.
dog needs to go to vet for check-up, yearly injection
DD gone into shower, so aim to do the uniforms as soon as possible.. bye for now..:wave:0 -
First normal week where DDs are at school all week & as yet I am not required to run round sorting out every other member of my family.... (I am the font of all knowledge!!).
So I am in - will be keeping up with what I have started. Need to iron & put away my clean washing tomorrow too, some more phone calls & paperwork stuff to do as well. Definitely need to call Champneys (or similar) to book next week. 3 more weeks before uni starts so want to be well & truly organised (and rested) by then.
DD's still making cakes...... think I may go and have a bath, then come back to shine my sink in a bit!!
Trying to figure out what I can drink in the evenings as part of my "wind down/relax" time as I go through gallons of tea (probably a good 10 mugfuls a day easily), and want to try and cutback on it a bit in the couple of hours or so before bed. Am a bit fussy when it comes to hot drinks though - don't like herbal teas, hot chocolate, horlicks or ovaltine.... So am stumped! (Also don't drink fizz or alcohol)!
I would be a cheap date if I ever had one....lolLive your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
tinselfairy - do you have a receipe for the flapjacks, sound great!
I've got a fan oven so cook these at 170oc.
I use an oblong baking tin for them, 7x11 inches.
Heat in a saucepan 150g butter,75g golden caster sugar, 3tbsp clear runny honey. Stir until sugar has dissolved.
Add 16oz porridge oats and 2 large mashed bananas and a pinch of mixed spice or cinnamon.
Pour into tin and cook for 25 mins. Leave for 10 mins, mark into fingers or squares and cool completely before removing from the tin.
Delish! :T...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Hi everyone, and welcome new flyers.
I always seem to be coming on here with a moan at the moment, but I have been doing some flying today as well so will you forgive me? I washed the car today at my M&D's only to go inside and my Mum tell me that my trousers had a split all the way down the back seem, and my pants were on show to the world! So, I then had to sew up the rip, and it is holding, but don't know whether it will survive the washing machine, so may have to say goodbye to these trousers.
Anyway, OH and I had a nice lunch with my Mum before going off to Mr T to get some food for lunches etc this week, and to top up my car with petrol ready for all the driving I'll be doing this week for work. Got home, unloaded the shopping, and went to the pub to collect my wages from last week. This is where my day went drastically downhill! It is quite a long story, so I'll start a new paragraph.
I went in, asked for my wages, and she made me sign for them. I commented that this was a new thing, and she said "well after last week" (for those of you who don't know, my wages were stolen out of the till last week). I told the landlady that as she was trying to cut down the number of staff working at the weekends, I thought it would be best if I left. She said "yes, I think that would be best, as I only employed you as I thought you could work during the week!" Then she said "I haven't put you on the rota for this week anyway!" She went off to serve a customer, and then my OH said to check my wages, so I took them down to the restaurant where it was quieter, and counted them in front of him and one of the other waitresses - they were £20 short! I went back to the bar and said to the landlady that they were £20 short, and she counted them and could see that they were. She then said "well I'll give you the benefit of the doubt" (as if to say, she thought I'd stolen them like she thought I did last week), and gave me the rest. I was outraged, but she had already gone off to serve another customer, so I thought it best not to cause a scene. I couldn't believe the way she treated me, and I've since told my mother and my neighbour who were also disgusted by her behaviour.
Anyway, I'm sorry to start off the week with a moan - maybe I should have put it on the old thread, but it's out now, so hope people don't mind too much. It's just I thought you may like to be updated with what has been happening as I know some of you have supported me since the start.
Happy flying everyone and hugs to all who need them - off to make a chilli concarne for dinner as OH is out shooting again so won't be home til 9, so plenty of time to make it.
