Speky
I am glad your GF has so much support and that you are trying not to overthink things.

Congratulations to the happy couple (she did say "Yes" I hope).
Fairly cool and grey here but not actually raining. No kitchen in working order yet so can't even wash a dish or do laundry yet. Fingers crossed for the weekend.

Try not to get discouraged by the nurse as anything you try to improve your health is worth a go and it is not as if you are doing anything really weird.
Two builders are trying to install kitchen units so they are all level and much muttering about uneven surfaces. It will all be worth it eventually I hope.
I went to a weigh in this morning and have put on a couple of pounds (crisps leapt into my mouth and a buttered roll was so comforting I had another etc. etc.) Hoping once I have a kitchen I can get back on plan.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Hi Chums been ironing and mending stuff today and now am feet up and doing a bit of knitting while I watch a film. All of DGS Bens duvet covers and sheets/pillow cases etc are washed, dried, ironed and tucked in my airing cupboard until September.Even mended his 'red, white and blue patchwork 'blankey' that I knitted for him when he was 13 and it goes everywhere with him even back to Uni
Had a nice corned beef salad at lunchtime and feeling quite full so it will only be a snack tonight.
Tomorrow afternoon is History club which I always enjoy. I think its Thomas Coram who started the Foundlings Hospital in London.

Yay snoozer on your weight loss :j
Another one here who has lost weight on the BSD, as well as that one of the most positive things that I have found is that it's re-adjusted my taste buds and things that I might have enjoyed a few months back I now find far too sweet? Am on hols at the moment and decided that would give myself free rein to eat what I fancy but apart from a cream scone have more or less stayed off the carbs by choice. Mind you, have enjoyed the odd glass of wine as well......:)0 -
Mrs Lurcherwalker if i could put more than a thank you, I would, this such a supportive thread.
Dumpling, please don't be too downhearted, you are doing so amazingly well.
I am cream crackered. I should have finished work for the week now and then 2 weeks off but will need to do a job tomorrow early evening and keep up on emails and QA some stuff while am on leave. Still and all, no going to office, woohoo,.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Hi I'm back. Sorry I've been Awol for so long. It's been a pain trying to log in and have had to ask my daughter to help. Welcome to all newbies.
SPECKY so sorry to hear about your girlfriend.
Not very good here health wise as now been investigated for fibromyalgia apparently do have some markers. My anxiety and depression are creeping up on me. Also my diabetic consultant wants me to consider a gastric band. No way to that.
On a positive note my daughter got high marks in her cookery practical which counts as a percentage for Gcse next year.
In other news my friends husband has just had clear results for his 3 month check up for prostate cancer. Although may be facing redundancy.
Hugs to those in need of one.0 -
Evening all.
Speky....best wishes to your GF.
Hester....coats breed in under stair cupboards, I know this from personal experience.....mine is due for a clear out whenever I get round to it.
Dumpling....don't let silly people put you down, you are doing really well so keep on keeping on.
Rain here on and off all day, not cold but hate it when everywhere is so wet!
Off to London tomorrow afternoon until Monday morning, need to make sure I bring everything we need but nothing else...hoping to make a visit to that famous wool shop in Camden Passage, but staying with DS2 so may not get there.
Have a good weekend everybody. take care
