I can't read 10 pages of jargon for a simple yes or no to my question....
Why not? Everyone else taking up their offer has to...or ought to!

But if all you want is yes/no, then the answers to your questions are yes, yes, and no...in that order.

not earning 3% interest on £5,000 for a day would set you back by a 'massive' 41p.
    That's over eight shillings!
Some people just don't appreciate the value of money anymore.
    You youngsters today, eh?

    thanks YorkshireBoy!

do I have to already switch a current account to Nationwide to refer my parent? I have a Flexidirect, but I haven't performed any switch. Or only my parent has to switch? thanks!
Then you'll be familiar with the Nationwide website and it's very good search facility. Your question(s) are answered there in both the incentive T&Cs and also the incentive FAQ.

Please come back and post the answers for others wondering the same thing.

Numbers 1 & 2 on the FIRST PAGE of the Nationwide 'Refer a Friend Conditions'.

Finding it took 5 seconds, probably quicker than it took you to type out the question for someone else to find the answer for you. Perhaps someone on this thread will be prepared to give you a ring and read it out...........

1.The offer is we will credit your current account and the recommended friend’s current account with £100 for each qualifying recommendation made on or after 12 February 2016.
2.To qualify for the offer the referrer and the recommended friend must meet the following criteria:

    Referrer:
•Must hold either a FlexAccount, FlexDirect or FlexPlus current account. No other Nationwide current accounts are eligible for this offer.
•Recommendations must be made by completing the online form at nationwide.co.uk/recommend (This link will open in a new window).

    Recommended Friend:
•Must complete a full switch using the Current Account Switch Service to transfer an existing current account held with another provider to a Nationwide FlexAccount, FlexDirect or FlexPlus current account within 90 days of being recommended. This full switch will close the old account. No other Nationwide current accounts are eligible for this offer.
•A minimum of two existing Direct Debits on the old account must be transferred as part of the switch. No other types of automated payments such as Standing Orders will count towards this criteria.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

thanks something else guys, where can I open multiple current accounts easily so that I will transfer them to other banks to get the bonuses? eg. can I open new accounts in my name in Barclays online? or do I have to go to the branch and say why I need them etc etc? Is there another bank that will let me do it easily? thanks!

Seriously, think about it. You go to Barclays, tell them you want to open accounts that you can then switch to other banks for the switching bonuses. They'll love that idea . . .

why would I tell them that?
It was you who asked "do I have to go to the branch and say why I need them".
Unless you were being facetious, and Society's Child missed that.

    Somehow though, I think not.

OK, then how do I do it in Barclays? I don't see a 'open a new current account' button in online banking! I did see in Tesco bank, but not sure for current accounts
