Having trouble getting a Holiday Cancellation Invoice/No Show Letter

Hello,
I am just after some advice if possible. Unfortunately I fell ill before going on a holiday back in May. I was due to be flying on the 24th May in the early hours but fell ill just before & was then advised at the airport by Ryanair that I couldn't fly. I am currently trying to claim on my travel insurance, I have sent all of the required documentation but they have now asked for a Holiday Cancellation Invoice/No Show Letter. I have managed to get one of these from Ryanair but I am having trouble getting one from lowcostholiday's for the hotel. Lowcostholiday's have said that I need to get this from the hotel even though I didn't even make the hotel. I have tried contacting the hotel by email & by phone but I can't get through to anyone.
Does anyone have any advice?
The hotel is the Marino Hotel in Tenerife.
Many Thanks
Jason

A quick update,
I have spoken to the hotel but they say that it should be Low Cost Holiday's who provide the no show letter as I never actually got to the hotel which the hotel inform me that they don't recieve the money from Low Cost unless the persons actually stay at the hotel. I have spoken to Low Cost twice but haven't got anywhere, should I try again? Where do I stand on this.
Thanks0 -
We ended up exchanging letters (yes snail mail letters) with the insurance company several times explaining that they had enough evidence to make it obvious that we hadn't been on holiday & that they didn't need a "cancellation invoice" (whatever that is) from everyone concerned. We got there in the end.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Thank you for your reply, I will try one more time with Low Cost otherwise I will try what you have suggested above. If they have the cancellation invoice from the Airline then that should be enough unless they think we might have swam to Tenerife.0

Low Cost can be difficult to deal with, they are a Spanish company operating from Krakow in Poland and you can see the consequences. If you paid Low Cost by credit card and they clearly haven't paid a penny for the accommodation, you might in your next communication with them threaten them with a claim against your card for services not delivered if they don't issue you the letter in 7 days, that might wake them up0

I'm afraid I don't own a credit card so I paid it by debit card.0

If you paid within 120 days you might be able to claim a chargeback, Visa are very good, Mastercard less so but I doubt the person dealing with the correspondence will bother to check, so just say you will make a claim on the payment card if they do not answer within 7 days!0

I know they're not great at LCH, but I'd have thought they will know there is no way a chargeback could be done because of a cancellation due to illness.0
