Item sold online not as described, where do I stand?

Hello everyone
I hope this is the right place to post and hoping someone can help me.

I purchased a swing and slide set for my children from Very however when it arrived and we were putting it together,we had received the wrong slide and some parts were missing. I contacted very who asked me to contact the supplier themselves to arrange to sort the missing parts and incorrect slide.
I did this the following day, the lady on the phone was lovely and arranged for the replacement slide to be sent out.
However the missing parts were some handles and a picnic bench, shown in the picture on advertisement and listed within the description. The lady said these no longer come with the product as they had changed the design but she managed to find some handles which she sent to us but couldn't send the bench as they are no longer produced.
One of the reasons for buying this particular set was for the picnic table as I knew the kids would love it. I got back in touch with very who said they would forward to the buyer team who would contact me. I've heard nothing so contacted them again the end of last week and was told I would have a response within a couple of days, still nothing.
Any advise on where I stand? I have screen shots of the product advertisement

You can reject it, regardless of anything else as an online purchase you can reject

It's been a month now since ordered and been built as too many boxes were taking over the house as they were large, my partner said its too late to return now so is he right?

    Very weren't at all helpful

I imagine he would be right, you would have deemed to have accepted as its now a month and you have built it

Why would they be deemed to have accepted it? It may be over a month now but don't forget they've been tying to get this sorted within this period.

As the item is indeed not as described then you will be entitled to a full refund from Very should you wish.

How would we go about this when all they are saying is await the buyer team to contact? Do I simply ask for a refund?

Don't wait, call them yourself and demand a refund and get them to collect the rest of the item at their expense. One other solution would be to suggest you keep the set but ask for a partial refund in lieu of the missing items.

There's a Very representative that lurks on this forum, hopefully they may see this thread.

Because they have opened all the boxes and built it in the intervening time, despite this dispute
