Happy Birthday for last week CMD! Sounds like an amazing way to celebrate.

Well done on your paying off Cinny - you are doing great.

Dinah - hope things are getting better for you after the bad start to the year.
  • Thanks Cinny and Wendz, it was an amazing way to celebrate. I was thoroughly spoilt!

Can't wait for payday next week and just to crack on now with lowering the debts. I am so impatient to just get going!

Thanks Wendz! I just hope we can keep the momentum up. I've got another £400 saved up to pay off things but we need a tv point fitting now we've ditched Sky so waiting to see how much that costs before I do!

Counting down the days to payday too. I think we've done alright through January, but my gooood I'm ready for it to be over!

Did everyone have a nice weekend? We found a local farm to go to that was only £2.50 entry and meant we weren't stuck inside all Sunday. Steadily getting the hang of finding cheap things to do!

I don't think we did too badly either considering we had Christmas and my birthday in the middle. But I am also so ready for Wednesday and payday!

We had a lovely weekend. Evie had a party on Sat and Max had football. Then yesterday she had gymnastics and when it was over we went looking for Pokemon at the local castle/playground. Spent €11 on tea & cakes but other than that a fairly low spend weekend!

Sorting out everything for going into February and we cleared 8.5% of our debt last month which I'm proud of! OH did a prediction yesterday and if we stay focused we'll be able to bring our DFD to mid September. It's taking all my strength to not find us a place to go on holiday over Summer, trying to find fun local days out instead!

Hope Dinah is doing alright, saw her holiday posts on Facebook which looked fun.

Hope you made it through to payday easily enough too, CMD :)

Well done on the debt busting Cinny, hopefully you can keep up the momentum now and clear it asap.

Wow 8.5% of your debt is amazing Cinny. If you keep going like that you'll have it cleared in no time! We have a few holidays booked this year but are budgeted for. Disneyland Paris is paid for, and spending money has been budgeted for!

Hope all is okay Dinah, and that ye had a lovely holiday. Hopefully NIM is feeling a bit better too.

Thanks ruby and CMD! I'm determined this year will be the one where we finally put our two last life niggles to rest. Debt and Weight!

Disneyland Paris sounds lovely with the kids (I assume you're taking the kids :rotfl:) CMD. Would love to take Oscar in a few years. A friend runs a blog of cheap/free things to do fairly locally so we're definitely making the most of that. Went to a £1 soft play on Friday which was fun!

Think Dinah is okay and ticking along nicely, spoke to her on her birthday and she said she has it on her to do list to update here. But I don't think the update will be anything less than an essay!

Yes - taking the kids to Disney. Not a major Disney fan myself but they will love it :)
