As to getting a replacement from a scrappy - problem is that it is brand new Mondeo - new model - so not sure will be able to get anything.

Only a matter of time before someone writes off a new mondeo.

Buy more of the same paint and chuck it over the other seats so they all match.

Good plan - I could buy different colours and say it is a work of modern art!! Sell it for a fortune!

when i transport paint in the car I tape the lid on, plastic tubs 5ltr or larger are horrendous for popping lids in any kind of knock / drop situation. Cleaning up people used to take them for a full valet and pay a few £ extra when they had a paint spill. B&Q get complaints about spilled paint in cars week in week out. They have a std letter saying "transport of goods is beyond our control" etc. Timbercare products are the worst, very regularly spill even if tub just falls over going round a bend.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing!! :D

Why did you travel all the way to France just to buy some paint?

    :rotfl:

It can be quite expensive & not the greatest quality - Deluxe is about double the price in France compared to UK.

If you are serious about making it 'like new' then a trip to Baldock in Hertfordshire is needed.

Google search A & R Pound, coach trimmers

They did loads of repairs for me, when i had my van sales business.

You will need to take the seat out of the car and leave it with them, probably, so beware of any electrical connections and make sure you know how the seat belt anchorages are fitted for when it goes back in.
