Can i put a lump sum into a help to buy isa without paying monthly into it also?

I will not be purchasing a house until at least 3years time.

You can only put up to £200 per month into an HTB ISA plus up to £1000 as a one-off at the start, so it's an account geared towards regular saving rather than a lump sum, although you're not obliged to make monthly contributions. Probably best to put your lump sum elsewhere (assuming it's more than £1000) and drip-feed into an HTB monthly for the best of both worlds....0
