Anyone know where I can get Prankster's court guide? Can't seem to buy it through his website or ebay
Here's another outlet offering The Prankster's Guide to Defending a PE Court Claim.

Thanks Umkomaas. I notice you pay in $ for this version - might wait for the £ to recover a bit before purchasing0 -
I got a parking charge through the door as I parked at the peel center in stockport on the 3rd February 2014, I have had numerous letters since, but just ripped them up, I have received a final notice today asking for £154, saying that if their client issues a CCJ their will be costs and fees added, do I just carry on ignoring them, thanks.0

Hi, Just an update on this case.
I have phoned the court today and they have confirmed that the time has elapsed for BW/ Excel to respond to my defence. Therefore the claim has been stayed and it will cost them £100 to have the 'stay' lifted
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the people who helped me put my defence together and for all your advice. I wish I could say that's the end of it but I have another thread on the go for a large claim excel have filed against me and I've just received another letter from BWL saying they've proceeded to court over another alleged contravention. But with the help of the amazing people on this forum I will keep fighting. Thanks again0 -
You can certainly use this as evidence of vexatious litigation and their unreasonable actions, when asking the court to award you costs0

Ok, strangely, and rather worryingly, I have some updates on this case which I thought was dead in the water.
Bwl have responded to the part 18 request. They've sent lots of information but little substance.
I've also received a letter from bwl saying their client intends to proceed with the claim and they have informed the court of this.
It says on my mcol account that DQ was sent to me on 05/08.
Does this mean they have paid the £100 to have the stay lifted or is the DQ sent out regardless?0 -
You will need to respond to the DQ within the timeframe requested.
(Whether or not they have paid the £100)0 -
Thanks Quentin,
Just don't understand why the court have sent DQs out if the claim has been stayed.
Surely this claim cannot progress unless bwl pay to remove the stay. DQs are pointless unless that happens.
If bwl have paid the £100 then they don't stand to make much even if they do win. Doesn't make sense.0 -
Ok, so I have spoken to the court today and am both confused and extremely annoyed by their response.
BWL have informed the court that they intend to proceed, and that they have responded to my P18 (didn't think this was anything to do with the court).
They haven't paid the £100 fee because they don't have to - contrary to what I was told last week when I phoned for an update. Apparantly, even though the deadline for them to respond is 28 days, they actually have 3 months before the £100 fee becomes applicable... So what is the point of saying the claim was "stayed" when this doesn't really mean anything? The court advisor didn't know... Why was I told last week that they would have to pay £100 to lift the stay? He didn't know that either... How is it OK that I have to adhere to strict deadlines with severe penalties if I miss them, yet they can miss deadlines and still proceed? Guess what... He didn't know!
The conduct of BWL, not just in this case but all the others they're involved with, is a disgrace, The fact the court can't give you a straight answer to a simple question is ridiculous... The whole system is a joke!
To say I'm angry would be an understatement. I now intend to devote all my energy to destroying these scumbags in court. Bring it on!0
