There are some truly admirable people on this thread and I feel very lucky to be a part , albeit a very small part , of the elite family.

    Thank you x

Thank you ellie...but I'm not after praise...it is something thats been rattling round in my head for a while and I get so disheartened by people who constantly say that others are two faced or dont have the guts to say what they feel...I genuinely hope people may read it as I intended rather than slating everyone and having a go

so I say my thoughts...I hope as truthfully as I can and without causing offence

a very accurate and well written post.funnily i was only thinking along the same lines today.i remember a few years ago a discussion on here about disabled parking and nerfdad wrote very movingly about it.
just a thought on thread starters how about savvy being official elite thread starter, then there would be no arguments who is going to do it and savvy will be able to organise his lists as he wishes.:)

Phew, phew and double phew is all I keep saying, well and a,little stronger too.

Last week when I went to my follow up appointment with my consultant my pathology results weren't back. I questioned as to whether that was a bad sign and I was unnerved by the over reassuring response I received. Yesterday afternoon I missed a call from the hospital and the voicemail said nothing to worry about but can you ring us back, I've heard those words before which really meant you have cancer. You have to ring an answering machine and wait for them to ring you back which they didn't do until 9.15 this morning but thankfully the good news was that everything they have tested has come back clear.
That has by far been the longest five weeks of my life and definitely the longest 18 hours!
So to say I have had an emotional morning would be an understatement but on a positive note my kitchen cupboards are extremely tidy.
It brings it all home to you though, we all have our own problems some of us chose to air them , some of us chose to keep them to ourselves can we put the last few days behind us and do what we do best, glitch and save a fortune.
I apologise to you nerfdad for what I said yesterday but I echo what others have said, please stop with the snidey remarks it isn't nice.
    Phew xx

Over the moon for you Di, lots of love. Enjoy your celebrations xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

Di ...it's a glass of wine for me tonight...but I will raise it to your health and hope that your champagne tastes even better!
Thank you you are so thoughtful and I hope yesterday's events haven't made your cloud any darker, it was never my intention to cause any upset in fact it was the total opposite x

Di, great news. I would go through the fizz reserves and find the best one, or two, and get them popped when your DH gets home.:)

    Phew xx

Just read this Di, so pleased for you that I cried :kiss::kiss:
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)
