I have a disabled son and have raised money in the past using JG and would never do what was done yesterday on here and I can't believe how fast people were happy to label me ,judge me and sentence me with just rumour hearsay and lies.Believe me I do hope they catch the person who did it and I feel sorry for Sarah that this was done but this really isn't the place I thought it was with everything that has been said in the last 24 hours - I think a lot of people need to take a long hard look in the mirror and think how they would feel if they were in my position.
We have shown you how we feel about your situation in the past nerfy regarding the heartbreaking situation with your son. I don't think that has any bearing on "now" situation.
As far as the JG matter, that is being looked intoThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
Thanks altojack
I have lost quite a bit of confidence when it comes to going out. My DP is wonderful though and is taking a couple of days of work next week to take me out to look for something to wear.
I have a few dresses and several pairs of shoes that I has never even worn, probably because even going out for a meal is very stressful for me. It may not appear to be busy for most people but people chatting, low music, cutlery clinking are sounds that my brain cannot filter out, which leaves me mentally tired, no chance of holding down a conversation as I cannot hear what is being said, it all blurs together.0 -

if you dont want to be thought of badly then maybe stop your constant snide posts especially at the expense of the night shift.i dont claim alliance with any group but constantly having a go at someone is going to get a reaction which appears to be your intention.:(personaly i hope whoever did the post on jg is caught and made public who ever it maybe.0 -

Oh Nerfy I too have a disabled son although he's a big boy now but many moons ago he attended Lord Mayor Treloar College where many of his school friends suffered from life limiting conditions such as your dear son. So I for one, greatly admire your attitude as I did with those children and parents I met at his school all those years ago. Their zest for life was infectious and had a profound effect on DS.
One day I was waiting for him to come out school and watched him trying to walk with his bent little legs and his arms swaying all over the place as he tried to keep his balance very much like an old drunk - when he finally made he looked up and with his toothy grin announced that he was glad he only had Cerebral Palsy. He was only 7 at the time. That was his attitude from there on in he even turned down a place on Dreamflight as he said he could go anytime.
No Nerfy you will not get any grief from me only admiration.0 -

I dislike going for a meal where too much is going on as I suffer from tinnitus, some sound actualy hurt my ears.
I'm about 5ft 3 too and slim fit trousers and very tight jeans and legging but wear long line tops, either blouse type or tunic.
A full skirt is a no no as they make me look fatter and shorter than I am :rotfl:There's no place like home

I agree totally it should be looked into and dealt with as it was a terrible thing to do on something that is set up to help.0 -

Many thanks
As you say my 2 older boys are better people for having him as a brother.
When you look it's surprising how many children need extra help.0
