Joint viewing of flat

Hello!
Tomorrow at 6:30 myself and the OH are viewing a flat for renting that we are really really keen on. The issue is that we will be viewing it alongside another couple.
I'm worried that they'll say the right thing faster than us/offer to pay more rent/cause other problems if they want it too.
I'm annoyed with myself for agreeing to this, but only did so as on Friday when I booked it we were only mildly interested in the flat. After having a walk around the outside and following a resident into the complex to look around this weekend, all our concerns have gone and it seems to be absolutely perfect.
I've emailed the agent this weekend to ask to move the viewing earlier, and will call them first thing tomorrow.
But... Does anyone have any tips for joint viewings in case it can't be moved? Should we be overtly open about being really into the flat so it may put them off?
Many thanks!

From my experience, whoever is first to get back to the agents and sign up/hand over deposit is the winner (and joint viewings seemed to be the norm). I doubt whatever you do or say at the flat will make a difference.0

Don't say anything during the viewing.
Don't faff around afterwards if you want to proceed, move quickly.0 -
When you arrive, and meet the agent and then the other couple, say: "Hey I know you! Weren't you on that TV programme 'Can't Pay we'll take it away'? Weren't you evicted for rent arrears?"0

Thanks all!
From what I can gain from the agent's website we have to express our interest to the landlord and then the landlord gives the go ahead for us to fill in the reference check form.
I'm assuming we express this interest through the agent taking us around the flat. Do you think there is anything we could do to the 'impress' the agent into giving a glowing reference to the landlord?
G_M - Genius! Will give that a go!0 -
You never know, they might hate it when they see inside - or you might too.0

If you don't want to do a joint viewing, then say to the agent you can't make 6.30, but 7 would be ideal...0

You don't have to do a "joint" viewing. You can wait outside until they've finished then go through the property by yourself.
I don't like joint viewings either. It makes it more difficult talking over points with your partner with other people listening.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
