Raising a dispute on paypal

I recently bought a white goods item on line and on first use, found that one of the "accessories" supplied with it has a minor manufacturing defect, that does not show up until it is used, but makes it difficult to use for its intended function. For various reasons I did not use it until just over a month after it arrived which is when I found the fault. Since then I have not used it.

I had bought an extended warranty so I rang the retailer, and asked for a replacement accessory. I was transferred to the manufacturer . The manufacturer said my warranty only covered electrical and mechanical faults and my claim was neither. So no replacement part.

I might just have bought a replacement part anyway but it seems they do not stock the model I bought - looks like it was one of a redirected EU export batch which ended up in the UK.

I then contacted the retailer quoting the Consumer Rights act but they are dragging their heels. I have not used it since it arrived.

I did pay by Paypal so could I raise a dispute with Paypal as it is well within their time frame for claims. How does it work?

SNAD= significantly not as described. Give the reason and await a decision.

When you say dragging their heels are you just waiting on a reply or are they mucking you about?

Don't keep starting new threads on the same issue.

I replied in this one to this specific question. Perhaps you should have a read.

    No I don't.

Neither do I spend every waking moment dreaming up the title of my next new thread.

No wonder you said elsewhere - on another thread you started today - you have 'no time', you've started two hundred and sixty one threads in around eighteen months.
That's more than one new thread started every other day.

You have started no less than nine new threads in the last seven days alone.

And you query how I spend my time? :rotfl:

Can you not file the other supports down slightly to make them even?

I believe that was suggested on one of the (several) other threads.
