    Yes you could buy a top floor flat but what if there's a bad storm and the roof leaks? The top floor will bear the brunt of it. If it's not your neighbours leaking on you it's the Big Man Upstairs. :)

    depends. usually the roof costs is spit equally between all the flats in the building, although not always.

    That's the cost of repairing the roof but who would pay for the damage to the top floor flat's contents? The top floor flat's insurance of course.

    if the flat wasnt into the loft itself the losses would be minimal if any.

    anyway point is its far better to own a top floor flat as you have no one to annoy you. you can even annoy the flat below if you dont like them by making lots of noise and "accidently" leaving the tap on. hahahaha
