Revolut Currency Card Warning

I have a Revolut prepaid currency card, which I loaded with US dollars prior to leaving for my holiday. At Heathrow, I used an ATM run by Travelex, to draw $300. The card already had more dollars than this loaded, so it should have been a simple matter of deducting $300 but, no, the machine converted my dollars to GB£ and then sold them back to me, charging me US$34 for the privilege. I have contacted Revolut, who say it is Travelex who took my $34. Travelex are saying it is Revolut. Anyone any ideas how to solve this?

It was Travelex who took your $34, just as they would take it from any USD card that somebody unwittingly puts in their enticing ATMs at airports. As you say, your dollars were converted to pounds, and then back to dollars, both times by Travelex at their lousy rates, not by Revolut.

Sorry but this is not the way to use Revolut, you need to wait until you are stateside. In fact, never be tempted to use a Travelex ATM.

Indeed, it was Travelex who took your money. Perhaps you even chose an option for them to convert.
Nothing to do with Revolut. Did you think that the ATMs at the airport in the USA would all malfunction? You paid for your haste.
