Hopefully your bank details are already in your name. If you are living at your cousins, do you have any utility bills?

Yes we do have utility bills, but not on my name.

Quite right. They are your cousins bills, not yours.

Obviously no use to you to show your insurer - so why ask?

I thought they could check it using the code I have to give them. (driving licence summary)

The insurer has probably done an electronic ID check and found no evidence of you living at that address and want you to prove it. Vehicle registration document hasnt been updated I take it?
I think I should phone them and say "how can a prove my address when I just moved there recently"

Easily. Solicitors letter for the conveyancing if bought. Lenders letter/contract if mortgaged. Or rent agreement.

It has been a few weeks since you gave them the address. So, your driving licence should have turned up.

Are you actually committing fraud or are you genuine?

You'll need to put your name on council tax there - car insurer should then accept the council tax bill as proof.

Only the householders name is on the CT bill as far as I'm aware so that's not a method that will work, although obviously if the cousin us currently claiming single occupancy discount they should withdraw that claim.
