Post office money rip off

Beware.....the rates over the counter for Post Office Money are outrageously different to those On-line. While I would expect a small difference the amount that the PO rakes out of your pocket is beyond belief.
  • Best EUR rate on MSE = 1.27
  • rate at Post Office on line = 1.25 (not bad)
  • rate over the counter at PO = 1.16!!
  • A whopping £30 extra on purchase of eur 500.
By the way, this is from the same post office branch I would have had the online order delivered to ......had their system not have been down until after the deadline for next day collection. A few less beers to drink at the England v Russia game on Saturday then:mad:

They offered you a certain rate and you accepted it. It's not as good a deal as you would have got online, but it's certainly not a rip off.

It's not a rip off. You didn't have to buy from there. Online rates and in store rates often vary quite a bit, and in areas where they don't have much competition the Post Office rates tend to be quite low.

Changing cash is out of the ark. Get with the 21st century, get a decent card like the Clarity, Metrobank or Revolut and stop being ripped off!
