Santander 123 - Do They Show references On Incoming Or outgoing faster payments

Bit of an odd question but hope someone can help.!


Does anyone know if Santander for its 123 account show a Reference for incoming payments.
(e.g. if someone sends you a credit with a Ref quoted as say "Payment No. 1234" do you see that online/on your statement)


I'm looking to switch as my current bankers (Nationwide) only show who it is from and no reference.
This is not good if you get regular credits from the same person and they quote the ref but you cannot see it


Any advice appreciated

Depends on what the sender puts on it. There's no reaosn why if the sender has put a reference on that you won't be able to see it.

Yes, payment references are shown online on my 123 account.

A 'yes' here too, as I put references on my own payments to Santander from other accounts, and it appears in the Santander account online and on the app.

Forgot to ask, does it also show the reference on the statement / online transaction if making an outbound faster payment
I.e. If I made faster payment to Fred blogs at Barclays quoting ref 1234, do I see the reference when looking at the debit transaction on the statement or online

Yes they do.

It does not give the bank destination just the recipient name or nickname you use.
