The rate on the Monthly Saver on TSB's website has this morning changed to 2%.

All that marketing for their 555 offering, only to change it all less than 2 years later. Name change to 502? 205? 052? Their marketing team will have loads of fun I'm sure.

For their sake, I hope enough of their customers are too lazy to jump because I imagine everyone from MSE will be off!

I haven't quite had the maximum each month so could simply top up to the 3k with the 13th payment if there's a 3k limit.
If you paid in £250 on 1 August and the account matured on 20 August you could earn an extra 68p in interest, minus the amount that £250 would have earned in its current location. I know this is MSE but is it worth it?

I don't know whether the terms permit a 13th payment.

The 5-2? It's a diet for customers' wallets.

I doubt they will actually lose any customer numbers, as jumping ship from Classic Plus would be cutting off their nose to spite their face. It was the Classic Plus alone that got most through the door in the first place.

It's still '555' - they recently added a fourth '5' (so could have renamed it 5555, but didn't), so now they're back to three.

    ;)

Really? I suspect that no-one from MSE will be off.

They still offer 5% on the current account and contactless spend along with the new cashback on the credit card, so why would people give that up just because they no longer offer the regular saver too?

Yes, I'll still have the Plus current account, but not renew the Saver when it matures tomorrow.

5-2-5 is the new preferred England formation, not sure even that would lead to any trophies though.

Perhaps it's time to deploy the entire squad, in 1-9-6-6 formation? ;)
