In my case the guarantee is for 25 years and transferrable.
Do I think that the company will still be around in 25 years? No, I don't.
But reading around, it seems that the most common issues are related to damp and show up in the first few years.0 -
Hmm interesting, but it seems that my solicitor is hell bent on getting these documents. It did make me think, more work, more money for the solicitor?
No, the solicitor Is just doing some CYA, almost certainly they'll be on a fixed fee so no they won't be making any more money.
What they don't want is, say in 3 years some highly unusual circumstance arises whereby the loft insulation guarantee needs to be activated (can't even think that that would be) and there is no guarantee so you sue the solicitor.0
