not sure why you are bothered about being 60 miles from Excel
later on down the process you will ask for a court local to YOU0 -

It won't win a defence though. You need points about contract law and liability.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've responded online and will start working through the info from bargepole. Thanks for giving me the confidence to do this. I dare say I'll be back for more help if that's okay.0

Of course, we want to help make your defence better than some old rubbish you see posted sometimes. Bespoke defences are worked on here and we do our level best to help win cases.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok. After some help I submitted a defence a few months ago and have just got the DQ. I'm getting conflicting advice about if I should agree to use the Mediation Service. I've read this can be seen as accepting liability, but also that it might look better with the judge if there's been an attempt to avoid going to court.0

mediation = admit you were in the wrong and try (mediate?) to get them to accept less £
are you guilty as charged or not?Save a Rachael

I believe bargepole deals with this in his post
but the answer to mediation is , NO
if you read previous threads about mediation, the mediator tries to get you to pay something , whereas most people would say you owe nothing so why pay a penny ?
re-read the bargepole post, and parking pranksters court guide too
to avoid court , you would ask for a suitable ADR, like the Ombudsman service (popla)0 -
Thanks - I'll take the advice to say "No". It was the posts from bargepole that made me think twice about it, but it sounds like it's almost an admission of guilt.0

can you say if it was the Peel Centre in Stockport ? or some other location ? , because we seem to be getting many queries and claims about the Peel Centre Stockport at the moment
it would also help other posters if you could post your draft holding defence on here as well, minus any personal details , just the main thrust of the bullet points you are relying on , so no references , no pcn numbers , no personal info , no car info
thanks0 -

Who helped you, out of interest? The BMPA? A regular poster here? Can you show us the defence here please (no need to keep it secret)?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
