    Hi All,

My PAD for today is £15 to MBNA please LMD.

Thanks Erme. It is really hard to stay motivated, but baby steps can cover a great distance... I hope your sleep pattern starts to regulate soon. I am surviving on 4-7 hours of broken sleep. I can't sleep because I am in pain, or my mind is too active to shut down :(

I'm in a bit of trouble. I still have £3,980 on MBNA to clear by April 2017 when the 0% runs out. So I know that I need to start thinking about returning to work, as I don't want to burn through my redundancy money and be left with no income or back up money. But physically and mentally I know that full time work will be too much for me. Is anyone here working part time, 2-3 days a week? And how did you manage the change/drop in pay to still be able to keep up your debt repayments etc? Did you do balance transfers etc to extend the interest free period? Sorry for all the questions, but if I am not working, or on a low income I don't know what credit I will qualify for as my rating is not the greatest. And my sister is getting married abroad next May next year, so that is going to cost me about £2K as well

    Keedie,
    xx

I made a payment this morning to a cc but I can't remember how much it was for! Won't show up straight away on my bank statement or credit card online. So I may have to declare it when it shows up on one of them

Money tight again already for the month but managed another £5 to the cc today. Few things in the pipeline though so might not be every day but I will keep padding and posting when I can.

    Just remembered that I haven't posted...been a loooong day...

I have another super-mega-awesome PAD of £3383.60 to declare for today, which is the balance of the monies owed for the sandstone. Go Dizzy, go Dizzy....We won't get delivery until the first week in October, but it's starting to get exciting buying all the new things. Again, not on credit/finance so I am super proud of myself (can anyone tell? :rotfl:)

Keedie - I can't advise on part-time working I'm afraid. I'm a SAHM with an income from property investments. Bizarrely, I have never been turned down for credit or finance, despite not having a "proper" job, but I suppose each financial institution has their own lending criteria. Making use of 0% transfer offers works for me to keep interest in check, so I'd recommend switching to a card with this if you can x

Thanks Dizzy for the advice and well done on an amazing large PAD! It's all very impressive :T
You're inspiring me to continue to save up for things and pay for them with my own money. One day I would love to buy a property, hopefully before I turn 40...

I'm going to join Martin's new MSE Credit Club and look at my Experian credit rating and affordability score and see what is available to me. I thought my credit score wasn't that bad, but then I kept receiving invites to take out credit with credit cards that are aimed at people who need to 'build' their credit file... so I have become concerned that despite not missing a payment on any of my debts, something is holding me back :(

    Morning All,

I've finally started an EF with my redundancy money, which is £3,325. I added some money to my son's long term savings account of £1,025. I put £100 towards my new car fund, and paid £5 towards MBNA.

So my total PAD for today is £4,455 please LMD

    Have a good day everyone.
