On Thursday 6 June, MPs asked questions to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on topics relating to social care costs, jobs in coastal communities and regenerating railway stations.
What steps his Department is taking to ensure the building of starter homes.
Whether the Government plans to revise its definition of affordable housing.
What assessment he has made of the potential effect of planned reductions in social rents and housing benefit support on supported housing.
Whether his Department has made an estimate of how many families will move home as a result of the Pay to Stay provisions of the Housing and Planning Act 2016 over the course of this Parliament.
What assessment he has made of the effect of the Right to Buy scheme on the availability of low-cost housing for people on low incomes.

Yes I googled after seeing this thread earlier. On the face of it it's a bloomin good idea. I don't see any reason why people earning good money shouldn't pay market rents. It's something that really bothers me actually. 'Full rent' in social housing land remains subsidised and I think it's wrong. Social housing should be available to people in hardship, not people earning a full time professional salary. But I'm sure there are reasons why people would say it's unfair. Perhaps the biggest being agreeing what the income levels should be.0
