Cant link the email i received but It' DOESN'T say anywhere who the delivery company are
This is just a clip of the transcript from P2G
Emily: The depot was not able to get an update unfortunately and is instead performing searches Jason
Emily: I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused
jason: But i was told today by one of your represenatives that is was out for delivery ???
Emily: We were advised the parcel was in transit, but I can't see an out for delivery scan on tracking unfortunately
Emily: We've asked for an update and the courier responded with the above
As you can see they were advised that it was in transit after i was told it was lost
When you select which service you want it states who the courier is.0 -
Thanks
Does anyone have a link to the official Yodel page on social media ?0 -

Yodel will almost certainly not speak to you as you have no contract with them.
However, a simple google search for yodel shows up the social media contact , it's even on their front page

I'm not sure what your post is trying to say? By the time the parcel was lost YOU had already chosen the parcel service and opted for yodel.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. From posts in the eBay board as they have no contract with the sender direct they are often unlikely to offer any help.
I agree though that it is always worth a try.
It is always worth noting that many couriers have very strict time limits for assistance so OP needs to get onto this, and my worry is that OP is not computer savvy as they were unable to find Yodel on a Google search.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My issues with Yodel are
It was scanned twice within a few minutes
I was told the parcel was lost then found 2 days later after making a complaint to P2G
I asked to collect from the depot only for Yodel to say no and that is was back out for re delivery within 48 hrs
It was then lost again
I know that my claim is with P2G but they cannot help any further as they are only told the basic information from Yodel. i want questions answered and what process they went through before just fobbing me off with lost in transit. more like stolen in transit0 -
I know that my claim is with P2G but they cannot help any further...
They choose not to, for very understandable reasons - that you chose not to insure your parcel properly.
Yodel also choose not to help you, again for understandable reasons - you have no contract with them and they owe you nothing.
You entrusted your package to P2G.
It is P2G's contractor that has let P2G down.0 -
I'm currently taking (well just about to take) P2G to the small claims court for "losing" two of my items one after the other. I hope to create a thread about it at some point.
Re this thread yes £800 is a massive risk. In general though, I don't know of any other couriers who would not take any responsibility (i.e. zero compensation) for the goods they carry. Even if there is a smallish minum like £25 it gives the courier some incentive to take reasonable care. If it is zero, they have no incentive at all.0
