    Hi everyone,
thanks for the replies, I have just gone threw the bank for a charge back, they can't do it as the company are saying he can still have the lessons, the service is still being offered.

The RAF only offer driving now to who needs it, which maybe him as he is training to become an aircraft techie.

I can't get any replays from them at all now via email which I was told I now had to contact them via, so will start ringing them again on Monday. not that you get anyone who can answer a question on the phone  and also get a letter off to them.
    thanks again

    Hello!

Similar issue over here, booked a fast course through them long time ago but no instructor available. cancelled and nothing happened, called bank for a chargeback which went through but lost case with bank, so applied for a new one. were fighting for a refund for 6 months!

DONT bother calling them, they are lazy and just make new promises.

Do get advice on your chances of winning if you intend calling their bluff and taking legal action.

You have to pay all court fees upfront ( min £150 for a hearing for £740) and only get them back if you win ( and the defendant has the funds to pay you)

Had a reply from Ombudsman, the company is not registered with them, they can contact them but doesn't mean they have to reply?!

I will speak to a solicitor and fingers crossed if they reckon its a good chance I want to get this company!

Maybe I should send them all on Judge Rinder!! Just seems that this company can do exactly what they like and there is nothing we can do!!

You don't need to engage a solicitor to start small claims action. (Google MCOL).

If you can get a free half hour consultation though (regarding the validity and likely success of any claim) then that wouldn't hurt.

ok so the latest is........Son got a call from the driving instructor asking where his money island wanting to get the lessons on the go, He claims he didn't know what was going on until his accountant mentioned he was £680 down, Although we are owed £720, He said he understands why we want a refund and to give him a couple of days and he will get the money back......now I don't believe it for a second but you never know!! I am going to ask him to send me an email stating he was away and had no contact wit Drive Dynamics in those 1st 2 weeks as well,

do a charge back if you paid on a credit card - used that company 2 years ago and had a similar story. lost the first charge back - however, barclays put another one trough for me and I won my case.
