Wrong date on PCN!

Hi,
I have received a PCN from APCOA at Luton Airport for, apparently dropping someone off in the wrong place. There are 2 photos but the date of the offence in the letter does not match the date on the photos.
Does this make the PCN invalid and if so what should I say?
Also, I was not the driver.
Many thanks.

Unfortunately nothing makes a PCN invalid. It is thought that parking scumpanies deliberately put duff information on them in the hope that victims will contact them and give away the driver's details. This is usually in the form of incorrect car make/model/colour, not date.
In your case it may have been a genuine error but it matters not. Unfortunately you will still need to dispute this and appeal as detailed in the Sticky thread for NEWBIES using the BPA template in blue.
You can if you wish (carefully without revealing the driver's details) add that your car did not visit the area on that date and their data capture system is not fit for purpose.I married my cousin. Thanks Fruitcake. But really do I have to type all that. Could I just not say that on the date of the alleged contravention I have proof that I was somewhere else even though I was not the driver. Then They will look at it and see that the date on the photo is different and then what?0

Why come for advice if you don't want it?0

No..I do want it obviously ...
that is why I left a question mark at the end of my post.0 -
you still have to go through the motions because if they adhered to POFA2012 then the keeper can be held responsible
as keeper its your job to refute that responsibility and try to get it cancelled, even though its long winded and even if POFA does not apply0 -

Type all what? Copy and paste the template and add a one liner. You need to carefully read the NEWBIES thread so you don't say things like "I" when you send your appeal.
You are under the misapprehension that you are dealing with a decent honourable company who will realise they have made a mistake and cancel the PCN with an apology. This won't happen and you have to appeal this on legal points to get it cancelled.I married my cousin. PCN from APCOA at Luton Airport and POFa2012 , that will be a first ?Save a Rachael

yep, my point was rhetorical , not factual
the point I was making was the OP needs to go through the motions regardless, not centred on POFA2012 or the Beavis case or any other legal point either
the OP needs to be in the frame of mind to deal with this like the hundreds of other similar cases for BHX and Luton, not trying to find some "easy get out clause" like Nick Freeman looks for
he needs to get real, do the research and get it done , properly0 -
Thanks guys...so I'm dealing with unreasonable people. It warms my heart that there are reasonable people on the internet to help!!!0

Ok.. so I appealed via the email address on the back of the PCN. I received an email acknowledgment that said that I would get a response within 35 days...but over 40 days have now passed...0
