Problems with Neff Ovens - Exploding bulbs and broken doors!

We have just a a new Slide and Hide oven fitted.

When cooking food for our Church Xmas party the cleaning lock activated with the food inside.

We've followed all instructions and resets - won't unlock - apparently not until the oven has cooled.

Ruined our party and our food. Worried it will happen for Xmas as lock comes on by itself.

So glad I didn't order a Neff oven now. Liked the slide and hide mechanism but not anymore.

Very happy with my two, but I'm probably just one in tens of thousands who haven't posted here because their oven just does what it's supposed to do.

Some posters here have single or low post counts.

If you want a really good oven, buy a Miele....and pay for it!

In what way does a low post count denigrate the integrity of an opinion or problem I wonder. Maybe we're just not regular moaners looking for genuine support

I don't believe I said that people with low post counts have low integrity. But while we're here again, do you really mean that those with high post counts have a tendency to moan?

Single post counts may carry less weight because those who have such accounts signed-up with the specific purpose of saying 'me too.' This is useful for statistical purposes, but someone who never returns to update with specifics, takes a thread nowhere particularly useful.

Nowhere is exactly where this thread has gone in the past year, until you exhumed it today.

Well I have had problems with my Neff B57 oven - sporadic E0532 error code. Many attempts had been made to stop this error that included replacing electronics panel and lamp unit as apparently it might have been vapour leaking from oven due to a faulty design of the lamp unit and  then condensing on electronics panel. It is still happening but I have given up on ever getting it fixed. And this evening the slide-under door jammed in an almost horizontal position. I think it may have come off one of the rails. I am really disappointed with this oven as I believed German engineering would give years of service, not years of service men coming out to do repairs.

Our Neff B57CR22 is just over 3 years old and door mechanism has just broken.  We’ve managed to now safely remove the door but looks like several Broken parts will need replacement... and they’re not cheap. Will call NEFF tomorrow but not optimistic since it’s now out of guarantee.  Any advice on what our rights are and what we should reasonably expect?

SandraJB - how did you get on with calling NEFF about this?  We've just experienced similar problems as you now and don't know what to do. We bought it 6 years ago!  We bought two and the second one is working fine!
