Great idea Tori.
I need to do a list like that, I am going to need to put my car insurance on to a CC again next year just because I am not going to be able to save enough for it but I think I will plan ahead for the following year for sure.

The plan is to start a regular saver every 3 months so they will kick out a lump sum every 13 weeks Dolly gotta be worth a try

Yeah definitely.
I'm looking forward to being this organised with my finances, feel like it will be such a help.
I am starting this in 2017, fingers crossed!

I need to think about this too. I pay a lot of things via monthly DD which I know isn't cost efficient. Am I best starting as each one renews? Or starting now?
I'm still trying to build up my EF and it's taking forever!0 -
I only pay up my car insurance & Tax annually as it's cheaper. it will take a year to see the benefits of doing this but it would earn me about £200 in interest in a 6% saver on money I have to pay out anyway.
My emergency fund is taking a while as well I should make better strides after October when the one of the credit cards is finished, yours did take quite a battering this month Louby but will soon be back in the +0 -

So impressed with how well you doing. I am preparing for early retirement too but older than you (56). Hoping to go at 58 as my OH retires this year when he is 58 so I have 2 more years. Been saving for last 10 since our mortgage finished although been helping our 2 daughters with house deposits too as Cornwall expensive.
I used to do debt counselling for a large bank in the 90s and passing on budgeting and financial discipline skills was the best way to help people out of debt. Obviously your credit rating is good which helps with the 0% deals. Good luck with the debt busting.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Many Thanks Dolly & Enthusiastic saver
We have been lucky our credit rating has been unaffected by the drop in income, im guessing thats because we never had issue meeting the minimum payments.
I have been a bit !!!! round face as I should have been overpaying the loan as it the only one that carries interest but wanted the cards gone before the 0% deals finished and never like to assume that I could get another 0%, I also think having a set date to have to get them cleared by has kept the momentum going.
I purchased my first Christmas gift today, work are selling off some deleted stock so grabbed a men's smelly set going cheap, eldest lad will have cash for his help to buy ISA, and youngest wants his passport renewing so just new a few bits for something to open for them. Christmas wont have any real impact on my budget. Our cheap weekend in Dublin is Dods and I gift to each other.
Early shift for me it's getting a bit of a killer having a 8pm finish on a Friday and a 5am start on a Saturday, suppose sooner in sooner home
