Re. Samsung J5 and storage space warning
Options
My Samsung J5 phone is warning me (in Smart Manager) that I have used a lot of my storage space/RAM (75%). I have had a look to see which apps i might not need. As an example, I really don't use Microsoft Word/Powerpoint etc on a phone. If I try and disable these or uninstall updates, will it cause any problems? I didn't have this warning on my previous S3 mini so I am not sure what I can do to save space.
It also advised me to uninstall FB because it was using the battery too fast. Is this common and is there a way around it. I do use FB quite often but I'm not a heavy user by any means.
Thanks

No, but to free the space you have to uninstall the app, not disable and not updates.
Possibly, you can move some apps to the SD card.
An app doesn't use power if it's not running. Just make sure you close/stop it properly when you don't use it.
I thought I had closed it properly. Unfortunately the apps which I would be happy to uninstall are ones which are built in and it won't let me uninstall them.0 -
Can you not turn them off in settings Application manager .0

You mean 'disable'? I have tried that but I get a warning to say that disabling built in apps affects the working of the other apps. Also the previous advice from Grumbler said that disabling/turning off or stopping updates isn't enough. You have to uninstall but I can't do this.0 -
Depends upon what you turn off .
But easy to turn on again .0
