BT Trying to increase Broadband monthly fee while still in contract

Options
Anyone else had a letter saying that their BT Broadband is going up by £2.50 a month as from 3rd July 2016 even thought they are still within their 12 month contract?
Mines not due to end until 27th September 2016.
What is this? Some kind of one way contract?

I'm on hold on the phone to them now.

After being on a 40 minute phone call to them and complaining multiple times, then asking to speak to a manager/supervisor they managed to find me a "Managers deal" of £22.50 (So actually 35p per month less than I'm paying now) for another 12 month contract (BT Infinity 2).
    So its worth complaining everyone.

Yes its well posted on here .
The price increase gives you 30 days to cancel without penalty .
Personal offers in the email vary .

By the way this new contract deal you have just accepted also has the We can increase your price built in to the terms and conditions like your old contract had .

    The legal stuff
ΔWe may change any prices and terms during your contract. If this affects you, we'll tell you about important changes in advance, and you'll be able to end your contract without any fees.

I suggest anyone with the price email uses the Your Offer tab in the email first .
Currently I have Infinity 2 showing at £17.50 pm .

Thank you my friend, my infinity 2 offer was £14 a month for 24 months. Might as well sign up to the devil for that :D

The offers appear to change tho...I currently have the same as above, but last week it was infinity 1 unlimited for £10 a month and evening/weekend calls and only 12 mth contract ( which is what i want) but that has now disappeared :(

    Anyone else notice that?
