EA said they need proof of funding first so sent them my MIP and spoke to our solicitor (11:30) who is selling our home to let her know she would be getting a call or email from the EA asking for proof of funds from house sale.
Spoke to EA this morning and no nothing back from solicitor so home is still on market...
Have you booked your survey yet? I would be slow to ask the EA to take the property off the market until I can see evidence that you are serious about progressing.
Get your survey booked and make it contingent on thr EA taking it off the market.0 -
Have my mortgage appointment Wednesday so will get the survey sorted then...0

Mortgage done in branch and approved, survey getting done today and solicitor paperwork signed.
This is what I went for in the end.

Has massive scope to do it my taste but the house is immaculate and I could move in and just take my time.
New boiler, upvc Windows and doors, alarm system and fencing all recently done.
It's only 20 mins to daughters home as well...
In a nutshell I'm very happy...0 -
            Fab stuff!
I think it's perfect - lots of scope as you say, good selection of rooms and reasonable.
Congrats - hope it all goes through okay!
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Thanks I also think it's perfect, hopefully the survey comes back today no issues and the valuation is good enough for the mortgage...0

Just had a text from the lender, valuation report is done then instantly got a message saying the mortgage offer is ready and all ok...
Everything ticking along nicely...0 -
            Glad everything is going well.
Looks like you've got a house with potential there so can add value but it is also liveable (although a tad dated) as it is.
Lots of space for your daughter too.
Hope it all goes smoothly.
Are there many in your chain?
We are 5 weeks in since accepting/making an offer and the stress...

Thanks, yes its dated but it has massive potential and i don't have to gut it straight away, just do the bedrooms first (paint and carpets) then get some plans drawn up down the line for new kitchen diner...
The daughter has a big room, and already discussed with her colours and bunk beds lol, she's loving it...
The seller is moving in with her son, and our chain only has 2 in it i believe...
I know all about stressful house moves, the last one we did was unreal, good luck for you..0 -
