That was the one I took. The second one (with the yellow circles) is the version the PPC submitted to POPLA.
Can you get another photo this weekend to confirm what it really looks like in June 2016, matching what it looked like in your first photo? Other people have lost POPLA appeals here as well, because POPLA have been shown those 'entrance signs' - I agree the picture looks photoshopped.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I took another one this morning - no entrance signs...

BTW - POPLA have written back (having asked them to review their decision)...
Thank you for your email received on 2 June 2016.
I have reviewed each of your points raised below, along with your case.
I am satisfied that the assessor has addressed each of the grounds of appeal that you raised and that the correct decision has been made.
While, we note you are unhappy with our decision, we have now reached the end of our process and there is no opportunity to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
Carly Law

It sounds like POPLA have completely ignored your PPC evidence rebuttal - not the first time this has happened.
Don't worry though ... you still don't have to pay, and there's no way the PPC will let this get anywhere near a court.0 -
Get on to ActionFruad and report the PPC. Your photos and theirs are vital evidence that could very well sink Park Direct and see it's directors stuck in jail where they belong.Never Knowingly Understood.

And complain to ISPA that what looks like photoshopped evidence of 'entrance signs' has been accepted by POPLA, despite your comments on the evidence raising this concern, POPLA have ignored it and you have had to report the parking firm to Action Fraud due to your evidence.
And a second concern is that OLD POPLA understood 'grace periods' as does Wright Hassall acting as POPLA(!) - show the other case - so why does this POPLA not understand that a driver MUST have a fair time to read signs? Being captured on a mobile phone for seconds by a hiding employee of Park Direct is akin to their old 'clamping scam'. This is absolutely transparently contrary to the 'grace periods' point which is a mandatory requirement of the BPA CoP. This is EXACTLY the sort of rip-off that section is intended to prevent. Even WH can see it!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The "photo" with the yellow circles has definitely been altered. None of the shadows have the same angles.
The shadow of the sign at the bottom of the double pole sign is at a different angle to the shadow of the left hand pole of the double pole sign, is different to the angle of the shadow of the rubbish bin, is different to the angle of the shadow of the cars and buildings.
Contact the Parking-Prankster, Trading Standards, BPA, DVLA, local and national press, your MP, and the Police. Show them all your evidence. After further checking, I see three photos: -
One with a bloke in uniform, and trees in leaf/full flower, and a newish fence panel right at the back with a single white sign on it. Fresh-ish smooth tarmac and nicely painted white/yellow lines.
One with the tree on the right between the buildings in part leaf but still with a newish fence panel and single white sign right at the back. Fresh-ish smooth tarmac and nicely painted white/yellow lines.
The parking scammers' picture with bare trees all round, but oldish fence panel at the back with a small yellow sign next to the white sign that does not appear in the other pics. The white sign above the dumpster also has a small yellow sign next to it that does not appear in the other pics. Rough ground with no white or yellow lines. Definitely not contemporaneous with the nicely tarmacked area in the other two pics. It is obviously a much older pic that has been doctored. Does the parking scumpany really expect anyone to believe the nice tarmac has been ripped up and rough ground been purposely laid down in it place?
It may be possible to find out from the council/landowner when the newish tarmac was laid.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
To be honest I am unsure about the manipulation claim on the photos, and you would need to be careful with that one.
To me it looks like the sign on the yellow no stopping or waiting sign has been pulled off, you still can see the adhesive on it in the recent photo.
The sign that was at floor level would have been removed when the car park tarmac was put down, and not put back.
But clearly not there when the OP was scammed!0
