Simply wait until you get to Euroland and "buy" your Euros from an ATM. I've never landed at an airport that didn't have a cash machine in arrivals.
The only thing to watch out for is that if the machine offers you the choice between being charged in Euros or Pounds you should *always* select the Euro option. That way it will be charged to your Clarity card at the Interbank rate. Choose pounds and it will be the bank's own retail rate which could be anything. Some machines (especially in Spain, I have found) are very sneaky in trying to get you to do the transaction in Sterling.0 -

You should read the post that was above mine, op was asking about the image that he'd posted. I know nothing or profess to know anything about the clarity card. Personally I use the preloaded Fairfx card, the Post office credit card or cash, all depends on what I'm purchasing.0 -

You get your euro from an atm when you arrive in the country that you are travelling to (assuming it's a country that uses the euro).
Whatever you do, don't purchase euro here in the UK using your Clarity card.0 -

Yes and also don't use an ATM in the UK which dispenses Euros, as most of them will rip you off with a rubbish exchange rate - most charge you in GBP and you don't get the option to get charged in Euros. Wait till you get there. Take a bit of GBP cash if you're the type that panic about all ATMs being down etc. Also another card just in case. You get your euro from an atm when you arrive in the country that you are travelling to (assuming it's a country that uses the euro).

Tell Halifax you're going abroad - you can do it online now although ISTR it took ages to find the option with their new site designed for tablets, complete rubbish for PCs.0 -
Thanks guys, I'm all set now. I've got 350 euros in cash, 300 euros on my cash passport and a Clarity card with all the credit that I will need.
