NLC Solutions

I was contacted yesterday by a company called NLC Solutions and they claimed they could get back lot of my PPI for me. They charge £495 up front and 25% of the reclaimed money. I know its possible to do this myself but I genuinely don't have the time and would be willing to pay something to get back some of the money I may be owed. Does anyone have any experience of dealing with this company?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

It'll take you just as long to do it via these people and you'll get one heck of a lot less money. Never mind.2 angels in heaven :A0

They take your money and do nothing, It would seem they take around 5000 peoples £495 which is almost £2.5m .
Thats money that should be earning you interest, for many people your paying interest on a credit card.
They are making money from that alone
They get interest on £2.5m plus, Plus anyone forgetting to reclaim their cash also loses that to them.
I have called them every day for a week, guess what? they are all on training for all that time. Maybe its easier to explain to customer that they are busy via answer phone than to actually attempt to answer difficult to explain questions, such as, whats happening with my claim.
I would strongly advice people making a payment to these, too do so with credit card, if you have done so i strongly advice to contact your credit card company for refund for services not received.
The company will have serious issues when everyone reclaims their part of that £2.5 million.
Use your credit card protection to get your money back and do it today0 -
NLC Scam,
I signed up with these guys in June & sent in all the paper work they required by July. To date (November) they have not contacted me via phone or email (though they had this information). Every time I have attempted to contact them I would get an automated response saying all desk staff were on "training".
I was lucky enough to off payed the £495 asked for initially by NLC via credit card so I should get my money back once I make a claim for a refund from my credit card company.
I would highly recommend you DO NOT take out this companies services. And as already stated by MSE, if you really want to check your PPI spend the time doing it yourself rather than being conned by these companies. Especially those asking for money up front.0 -
It would be better if you go to the Legal Ombudsman in the first instance, Duke99.
I appreciate that you can use section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act but, regardless of whether they missold PPI or not, it is the CMC that has caused you problems.
They seem to have no e-mail address but you can send a snail mail to
JAS Financial Advisory Services, Business centre, Church St, Pontardawe, Swansea SA8 4JB
The complaint only needs to say what you have told us and demand the contract is cancelled your money is repaid in full because they have failed to act on your case.
Send it by snail mail, keep a copy and get (and hang on to) proof of posting (free from the Post Office). Do not use recorded delivery because first class post is assumed to have been delivered two working days after the proof of posting anyway.
I'm afraid they do have eight weeks to respond which, with time in the post, probably means it will be until January before you can go to the Legal Ombudsman unless they get back to you in the meantime.0 -
The Company that takes your money has ceased trading, JAS limited is the company that takes the money for NLCsolutions
You need to contact your card company and file a refund for goods/ services not supplied.
If you paid by credit card you will get all your money back
If by debit card you will most likely get it back
If you paid by any other means then get financial advice or go to Ombudsman.
Go talk to your bank
They have answer phone message saying staff are on training and have been for 4 weeks
You must act now to get your money back.
By ceasing trading all your money would have gone into their pockets, it seems they did a huge phone campaign just before ceasing trading to get as much money in as possible, being a limited company they lose nothing from the homes, cars etc they used it for.
Act today and i hope i helped some of you, i had full refund from card today.0 -
I've been scammed then. And I thought I was so streetwise!
Luckily I paid by credit card but the cc company want proof that NLC have ceased trading. Any ideas where I would find this?0 -
I've been scammed then. And I thought I was so streetwise!
This was obviously dodgy. Loads of the firms that have this £495 up front charge have failed and taken the £495 with them. It fitted the typical scam model perfectly. Cold caller, tell them they have a complaint about <whatever subject they are scamming on>. Tell them a made up figure of whatever amount should come their way but to get it will cost £495. Classic advance fee fraud.
You need to assume that all cold calls are scams. Most are.Luckily I paid by credit card but the cc company want proof that NLC have ceased trading. Any ideas where I would find this?
