Switched from EE to Vodafone, signal is worse, can I go back?

Hi Everyone,

Previously I have being with EE, but a week or so ago I got a new handset and switched over to Vodafone through Carphone Warehouse.

I'm finding my signal is now pretty bad both at home and at work (not horrible but much worse than with EE) and I'm kinda wanting to switch back to EE.

Given that I'm still within 14 days of purchase, is this possible? Can I keep the phone or would I also have to return the handset to Carphone Warehouse?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi -pete-

The best option would be for you to get in touch with Carphone Warehouse directly as they'll be able to discuss this with you further and go through the options available.

Does the Vodafone 30 day network guarantee apply to phones brought from CPW?

It's an Xperia X. I don't think it's the phone but it could well be.

I don't really want to give the phone back because part of my deal included a Sony tablet as a pre-order bonus

So you want the free phone and tablet but want to switch back to EE. Why would the network allow you to do this? Why would they just hand out free phones and tablets?

You can't have it both ways. You either cancel and give the phone back if they allow it or keep the phone and wait out the contract.

The tablet deal was from Carphone Warehouse, not Vodafone. It was available with any network and over a huge number of tariffs.

I'm not asking for a free phone, I'll obviously be paying it off over the whole contract term.

I may be wrong but i thought you didn't get 14 days return form a shop only on the internet it use to be like that unless they have change the law.

You specifically stated you didn't want to give the phone back because you got a free tablet. But wanted to switch back to EE. You also asked 'Will I have to give the phone back'. So yes, asking for a free phone is exactly what you're doing.

You can't have it both ways. The tablet came with the contract. If you cancel then you don't get the tablet. It's irrelevant that it was offered across multiple contracts.

If only you had come and check here first about Vodafone, you would run as far as you can from them :)
