Free online backup.

Hello! Is there a free reliable automatic online back up that I will run an app in my laptop and it will automatically backup specific files I have specified in the cloud? thanks!

OneDrive, Google drive, Box, Dropbox, are a few that will auto upload files. That said, I suggest you also backup to another source (Hard-drive, NAS) to be absolutely sure of your backups.

you just googled and posted the first links? if it was that easy, I would do it myself

your Google Drive says nowhere how to specify specific files and folders and set an autoback up!
I gave up long ago thinking that people asking questions were necessarily capable of googling.
Carry on, I'm sure you'll come across the answer eventually.

I read "Fetching files on a PC running Windows 8.1 isn't supported" so this explains my difficulty to make OneDrive work??

Do you actually need to fetch files?
You didn't mention that in your OP. If not, either of the two suggestions will "backup" specific files.
Just save or copy the files to the OneDrive folder on your PC

    OneDrive

The same principle applies to GoogleDrive Etc.

Are you sure you understand what I am saying?

I want to specify files and folders that will be automatically backedup when there is a change to them!

If I copy a folder into OneDrive, this just backsup manually that folder into the cloud. IT DOES NOT monitor the original folder for changes and automatically maintain an updated backup on the cloud!!!!

Yes I do understand what you're saying.
Do you understand what "fetching files" means?

If you dont need to fetch files from another P.C then you could put the folders and files that you want to backup into your OneDrive folder. Then you use these files/folders in OneDrive as the original location. As in, edit them from there!

If you want to keep the original folder locations, you could try using Symbolic links, but I'm not sure if that works with OneDrive.
