good positive post PSL - you have a plan and that is the important thing. I agree that you need a break of some sort so the financial effect of taking it just needs to be weighed in the balance. Sanity is important. I swear if I had continued in my last job for much longer I would have had a mental breakdown. My body was trying to tell me (hair loss, anxiety and panic attacks, IBS, acid reflux, neurological problems) because my brain was on the verge of giving up. So just listen to the physical/psychological signs and do what feels right for you. Better to have a little bit more (manageable) debt but no breakdown.
Love your posts, keep em coming xI want to be a writer0 -
Posting then bed. Early night.
NSD today. After big spend yesterday I cooked tonight and freeze portions tommorow.
More cooking tommorow then freeze Saturday morning.
Tommorow should be NSD.
Very relieved to have the weekend away from work.
17 days to payday is quite a lot. More days like this would be ok. I have quick drink at the weekend, then next week 2 lunches out (I know this is not good) but both should be inexpensive. Then Saturday 18th seeing a friend for lunch. Then 20-27 almost nothing in the calender. Planning to keep it free for intense study.
Get to payday and then stick to plan.
Thanks Lulla. xx2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

2x NSD
Very much wanted to order a dominos but I had dinner waiting in the fridge so forced myself home to eat it. It was nice but a dominos would have been amazing.
No more cooking tonight, I am going to eat popcorn and watch 1 or 2 films. Then bed. No alcohol.
Up early tommorow for jobs before social. Jobs are buying ingredients which I couldn't get in the week, tidying kitchen and bathroom and making plan for next week. Then I am meeting best friend, not seen in ages.
Getting back on track. 44 days of loan left. Happy Friday everyone. xx2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

42 days of loan left.
And HS CC almost closed off just interest and about £20 to be paid end of month. Balance transfered to 0%.
Now 6 credit cards
1 loan
1 Overdraft
14 days to payday, some expenses still to go out before payday.
I am going to spend march at home and not putting anything else beyond what is there into my Calendar. Although there is more there already than I would like.
I am very grateful for all the advise. I read it, use it and learn from it. Even if It may not come across.
This week work is mega busy and I think it will be long hours, no alcohol till weekend, sticking to food plan and not wasting money. Although I did buy some work clothes yesterday and if I get an interview may need to pick up a new interview outfit.
Also hair end of march which is expensive.
Do need to get to the paydays and be sensible and use the money for its best purpose.
Getting there slowly.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

Oh dear PSL: the work clothes won! I don't suppose you'd consider taking them back? And I'm sure you'll do well in an interview without a new outfit.

If you get an interview you def don't need new clothes!! I've not saw inside your wardobe (obviously) but I know you have interview worthly clothes!! I used to spend a fortune on getting my hair done. Now I go for a dry cut that is £15 compared to £35….£17 for them to wash and dry it?! Head bend over the sink with them scalding you with hot water and burning your ear and scalp with the hair dyer so hot and so close to your head – no thanks! Plus it’s now a 15 minute in and out job rather than a few hours. I dye my hair at home, but it is brown, I know blonde can be a bit trickier, but I buy exactly what my hairdresser used from salon services and I now pay a quarter of what I previously paid, normally I spent about £85-90 every 6 weeks. Not sure if you would consider this, but it’s a great way to save money if you do xx

So from your very first post you have gone from 3 credit cards, loan and overdraft to 6 credit cards, a loan and an overdraft? How many of those cards have a zero balance and can be closed?£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

I bought some clothes last week - first clothes I've bought since Spring 2016, so nearly 12 months. I spent £80 in Sainsburys on 1 dress, 2 tunics, a top and a pair of jeggings. They were paid for with birthday money and survey earnings. Cheap n' cheerful.
I pay £23 to get my hair coloured, I walk out of the hairdressers with wet hair, if she cuts and blow dries it then it costs me £50. Then about 6 weeks later I go back for a cut £22. It cuts the cost down a bit.
You have to cut your cloth, budget and plan ahead!0 -
Oh dear Stockie Becks I think you have more faith in me than I deserve.
I have almost cleared the loan, overdraft and almost cleared 1 credit card completely.
Phoned SB CC today and increased minimum payment and rounded down to pay £100 per month which I find easier to mamage. Need to phone next month as it takes 2 calls but this is good as a plan beyond march.
Then need to look at mbna expiry 0%. I know it's June 2017 first so will focus on this.
i have 4 more with money on but working to get them all cleared.
I can't do my hair myself and honestly I do need an interview outfit. Everything is old and shabby and I have been making do for months. Hair can come out of march pay as it's not till end of march.
I am not going to get a new job unless I look the part so this will take some money and honestly it is needed.
Today was NSD. Tommorow is my turn to pay for lunch with friend but it's going to be inexpensive. Then home in the evening.
41 days of loan left. Or until pay day. I'm not sure if it will take a few days to transfer or be an instant thing. Hopefully will be able to do over the phone on payday.
Getting there slowly but I can't scrimp on my hair or work clothes. I would rather live on baked beans and not go out. I cooked a bit over the weekend and put in the freezer but I would like to cook a bit more and put in the freezer for the next few weeks.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.

39 days of loan left.
Trying to plan. I just want to pay all the credit cards off. Very much looking forward to having just 5 payments each month. MB first for the non0% bit expiring in June then after that is sorted into the Halifax as that is only 0% for 12 months.
I think if I have a successful April it will lead onto the rest of the year.
Once overdraft is closed and 5 credit sources remain I will be more in control and hopefully will find it easier and will be able to see the benefit of cutting back then going to keep a tight budget, say no to basically everything temporarily and try very very hard.
First steps reign in till payday.
Reign in after payday.
1 more loan payment on 28th.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
