A consolidation of the credit card sector would reduce competition & maybe curtail the crazy interest free periods currently on offer?

My favourite card because of the frequent money and balance transfers available.

Hopefully it be someone like virgin or even amex (as they issue amex branded cards) that purchase them at least then the rewards should remain

So what happens if Barclaycard buys them? I currently have a Barclaycard Amex/Visa combo which was originally an Egg card. I also have an MBNA card which was Amazon before. Would I get another Barclaycard? :rotfl: Or would they do something like consolidating both credit limits to my existing card combo?

I have never applied for a barclaycard and now have four due to grand sakes.
