    Hi everyone!

Bob - wishing you well with your decision!
Cat & Ally - hope you have a fab holiday!

Hi Perni! & congrats! I had to return to work after 6 months with both of my babies as I was the one with the regular reliable income (hubs was self employed at the time and his income was variable). It was so hard to leave them when they're so teeny.
Aside from childcare fees, babies are as cheap or pricey as you make it. We bought most things second hand, were given lots of hand me downs (which we are now paying forward) and only bought a couple of things brand new (like cot mattress).

Anyway, today has been a spendy day so far:
    - Booked family get together holiday for 2017 using a deal
    - bought car tax
    - ordered spare parts for vac

made soup for lunch using leftovers and frozen veg
    meals from plan/stores
    laundry on airer
    update YNAB

Hope you all have a fab day x
    New total: £24,006 :(
    I will do this.
  • Just a quick post from me. I have had two creditors reply to my letters of offer for my self managed DMP and they have accepted and froze interest. Officially start next month!

Have had to dip into my EF as short this month but have sorted my finances for next month and really need to knuckle down and stick to my budget!

    Hi All

Just done my budget for June. Oops. Have spent far too much on hobby stuff and left myself with almost zero for June. Will be challenging as for a week of June I am away with family. I will try to resist anything as silly as my recent purchases.

    Am on target for food.

Have cancelled my swimming monthly subscription as I am way too tired to swim in evenings, and can not go in mornings or lunch times so sadly it is now not saving me money and unfortunately the stopping reflects my life no longer even being able to make it for a quick leisurely dip. The joys of trying to work full time and having a wierd health issue.

Sewing is going well. Have been quilting and I recognise the need to slow down on completion of projects as the cost of the long arm quilter and the materials is prohibitive.

Had a good sort through freezer yesterday and today dogs are enjoying freezer burnt pigs head.

Planted second wave of veg seeds in the garden and was delighted to see some peas sprouting up which have not been eaten by the chickens. So, this is good news.

    Speak soon.

    Maria.

    Afternoon all :)
Back last night after the weekend away - still pretty shattered, but some bits done today:
Used up a brown banana for breakfast
Wrapped and posted 2 ebay items
Put away most of the stuff from the weekend away
Sainsbugs shop, used vouchers. Took a wine box from the front of the store (they put them out for customers to help themselves) for free ebay packaging :)
Listed a few more items on ebay
Got a load of washing dry
Been to sales unit to tidy up
    Walked mutt, free exercise :)
    HM meals
Spend alert, but got a beautiful pair of lined curtains in William Morris / Sanderson fabric for my dining room for £27. Second hand, obviously :D
Pulled summer dresses and tops from storage - trouble is, they all need ironing now
Planted up gaps in front garden pots with petunia plants that I already had :)
Planted out the French bean and courgette plants that I grew from seed :)
Watered everything that needed it Pouring with rain now, typical! :rotfl:
Picked more salad leaves and the last of the radishes in a small trough :)

Still loads to do - that is the trouble with going away
Update: Ironed my summer dresses and tops, just retrieved from storage :)
Also ironed some vintage linen items to list on ebay tomorrow :)
Put up my lovely 'new' curtains :)
Did another load of washing - hoping for dry weather tomorrow to peg it outside to dry :)
Dug a few more things out of the loft which can also be listed :)
    Sold 2 more items :)
Used up some bacon which had come back with us from our weekend away, in a pasta dish for dinner. Had this with the HG salad I picked earlier :)

Just caught up with the weekend thread - have a lovely holiday Ally, congrats on the job DNMS and Bob - wow, big decision time! Hope you get a good price for your business :) Sorry if I have missed anything / anyone else!
