As I see it, flower pots cannot be parked on the shared road, just as much as cars cannot.

Obstructive move by 89 would be to park a car on their bit of the shared drive and tell number 90 they have room on the far side of the driveway!

So in other words you're saying if they're both causing a problem with cars then neither can complain. I just hope that doesn't then overspill to me.

I was speaking to the woman at 90, she says its escalated since having her second kid. (3 years daughter and 4 months daughter), because she's had to park to get all equipment out of car. That being said I didn't even know she was pregnant until a midwife happened to be going to them one day after she had given birth!

Grrrr. This could be interesting. :A

What a very odd set up! Number 90 clearly has no parking space other than in their garage! Did they not question this before buying????

Sounds like tea and cake is needed for all the neighbours to come up with a workable solution.

Perhaps number 90 needs to be given/sold that piece of driveway as theirs, but then they must not park over the end of it (so will need to buy a roller garage door if they want to access the garage, and only park small cars).
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

How many cars has 89 got? From the plan it looks as if 89 has got one parking space on the drive and one parking space in the garage is this correct?
  • I'm reading post 12 as no. 90 owns that bit of land in front of their garage doors. Hence why they keep parking there.

As I can see from my own set-up its not necessarily the case that ownership confers its okay to park there - but the land-owner will keep doing so regardless of how much they put other people out and the risk of damage their car is running being there (eg if a fire engine has to use the land they shouldnt be using - so its sayonara to their car...).

It sounds like everyone owns the bit in front of their houses, but number 90's bit extends to in front of number 89. Hence the problem.

Residents seem to be confusing ownership with the right to park.

Number 89 needs to wait until number 90 is out and then park in front of their drive slightly overlapping onto number 90s land. Tit for tat!
