You should not give children diluted milk, the nutrients are diluted as well as the fat. Children need full fat milk fro optimal development0

I'm still paying 49p a litre from Lidl or Farmfoods. I'll get me a cow next year I think.0

4 pints 99p also at Asda I noticed. This is inflation in action also.0

"On Tuesday Wiesemeyer told AgriTalk host Mike Adams recent research by Informa found two reasons Brexit is bad for milk prices.
Economic growth. “Impact of economic growth would reduce global milk equivalent imports by 0.5 percent,” he said. “That will pull down dairy forecasts around the world.”
Reduce UK Dairy Imports. According to Wiesemeyer, Britain is not only the third largest milk producer in the EU but also the second largest net importer of dairy products. “When you factor in the British pound down 5-15% against the Euro,” he explained. “Imports just got 5-10% more expensive on the world market.”"

We are now at £1.09 for a 4 pint bottle of milk at Tesco, Asda. Lidl, Aldi. If anyone has seen this cheaper please post here.
If we are the third largest milk producer in the world then the strength or weakness of sterling should make little difference to the domestic price?
What is the reason for this latest price rise?0 -
Possibly farmers are getting paid a more realistic price
Well I hope that’s the reason0 -

Ask the retailers.

I hope so as well.
If I understand correctly, some farmers are moving from milk production to other things that are more profitable such as egg production.
It is a disgrace that a bottle of water is more expensive than a pint of milk.0
