Search this forum for Buksh (who has been discussed here several times before), collate all the information, and write to the YMCA asking if they are aware of what a total cowboy they have engaged. Ask them if they'd like to cancel this charge, or would they prefer you to have a chat with the local press?

You should also write to DVLA to draw their attention to Buksh' website:

    http://www.issueparkingcharges.co.uk/

Ask DVLA to note the slide show towards the top, in particular the bit that reads "Fully approved and supported by the DVLA". Ask them to explain the precise nature of the approval and support.

The charge has been sent to my mums address as the car is registered there (I'm only 23, so it's cheaper to be a named driver on her insurance) and they got the info from DVLA.
Quite apart from the parking issue, you could end up with a far worse insurance issue. If you are the main driver of this car, then having it registered and insured under your mum's name is known as "fronting" and is almost certainly not allowed under the terms of the insurance policy. This could end up with them not paying out in the event of a claim. Despite the horrendous cost, you really should have yourself as the main driver, i.e. the policy in your name.

    3. PHOTOGRAPH VEHICLE
Simply take a clear photograph of the unauthorised vehicle in its unauthorised position on the parking area.

    4. UPLOAD INCIDENT DETAILS
Upload the photograph with the nuisance parking details to your personal online account. This forms your parking ticket.

    6. RECEIVE £12 PER NOTICE
For each paid parking charge notice you will receive £12 revenue.

a total mockery of the POFa2012.

and if this got to court , the "parking attendants" presence would be required , along with his uniform and tax returns

Nope, still there. It's a slide show, you have to wait for that one to appear.

When I've got a bit more time I'm going to open accounts with some of these self-ticketing outfits, temporarily stick their signs to various walls and fences alongside the public highway, and then upload photos of various of my own vehicles parked perfectly legally on said public highway.

Should be able to stir up all kinds of sh|t with the ensuing NtK's.

So the DVLA provided information to this trustworthy git, did they?

Apparently the DVLA sells our details to them for £2.50
Not sure how true that is, but I wouldn't put it past them!

Nothing 'apparently' about it - £2.50 a pop, all done electronically. The DVLA earn millions each year from PPCs; they're coining it in every minute of every day, right through the year!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I looked this up when the signs arrived, it looks like an absolute farce of a company!

Not to mention that the YM had to pay £80 to get the signs and *some* permits to park (nobody has a permit, and there are often cars parked all over the area, blocking the pathway etc). I'm not sure if the £80 is an occurring charge or just a one-off payment. But I'm interested in how easy this is...
Can people do this outside their house? Or their garage? It just seems far too easy for anyone to get hold of these signs and start enforcing their own rules...

I'll definitely be letting them know that they've hired someone whose morals are equally as low as theirs, but I highly doubt they'll care. I mean hey, if I pay, they get twelve extra pounds!
Considering the fact they were taking out loans to pay their staff wages last year, every little counts!
