I once heard the letterbox clatter and a "Tried to deliver notice" was on the mat. I ran after the postman and told him I had not heard him ring and would take the parcel. He told me he did not have a parcel he was just delivering the "Tried to deliver" notices and I would have to collect it from the sorting office??
That's tragic but really funny (Not at the time I'm sure)
Maybe Martin can have a special thread to "Name and shame" the worst couriers with real life examples of couriers failing to follow their own procedures properly.

Have you ever seen Still Game? Its exactly what the postie does in that because he can't be bothered dragging parcels around.0 -
Not sure DAB is such a good idea. Some stations transmit quite a low quality stream, sometimes in mono, for example theJazz.com
Also, and more importantly, I've heard DAB2 will shortly be introduced, which is a better version.0 -

I think you're missing the point mate. For a tenner you can't really go wrong!

Just got mine. Works fine but no instructions. Can someone tell me how to prune all the stations I cannot get etc? Are there any key combinations that I wont find without a manual?
Thanks0 -

Thanks
The instructions say 'To select an option, press the MENU button. "Station Order" will be displayed. Press the SELECT button and use the NEXT, Back buttons to display the desired option. Press the SELECT button to activate your option'.
As posted on HotUKDeals, the instructions can be downloaded from

Some people reported difficulties downloading this, but I had no problem.

Received my refurbished unit today but found the volume is jammed at a high level and cannot be reduced using the minus button on top of the unit. I have read the instructions provided but there appears to be no quick fix or reset. It's a shame as the unit itself looks pristine and in all other respects works very well. Definitely value for money if it worked. Any help will be much appreciated. Have emailed Dixons regarding repair or replacement but don't hold out much hope.0
